If God is all-powerful, why does Satan exist?

If God is all powerful, why do you think Satan is around?  Why hasn't he ended Satan's existence yet?

Because God allows him to. There is an universal issue to be answered - can Satan the Devil rule humans on earth or do we need Gods rulership? In order to prove that, Satan is ruling now. The outcome is obvious to any thinking man. he cannot rule us to happiness.
The "name" Satan is Hebrew and means ¨resister¨ and The Greek di·a?bo·los - Devil -  means “slanderer.”
So these two words tells us what kind of caracter he is. Accusing God behind His back. A lier that descieved humans into sin.

Because God wants him to exist, for whatever reason. If you read the book of Job in the Bible, you'll find that right by the end God shows up tells everybody that basically he does as he pleases, so we'd better learn to deal with it.

God is a complete whole.  We all know that everything is interconnected:  You can't experience joy without knowing sorrow.  You can't experience Light without knowing Darkness.  It's the yin-yang of creation.

Without the existence of darkness, how would we come to know God's grace? If we do not know the evil in the world and within us,  how could we humbly come to Jesus Christ without knowing how fallible we really are?

Jesus Christ came into the darkness of this world in the form of a man and died for the darkness that is in us. That is why Satan exists.

If you are asking yourself this question, it is probably better to turn it around and ask, "well, if Satan still exists and God hasn't done anything about it, why should I believe in God?" I'm not trying to take away your beliefs, but instead to look at it from a rational point of view. If God exists and is all powerful, why are there so many problems in the world? Why do people die for no reason? If God controls everything, there's not much Satan can do, bad or good. Plus (no offense) you don't technically know Satan exists. You've probably read about him, but you've never net him or have proof that he's "around". Examine your question from all angles, and you'll find a way through it.

The same reason that you exist. Now do not blow it and use your freewill to believe in GOD at the minimum level and to know and walk with GOD moment by moment at the maximum level. Satan blew his chance when he tried to overthrow GOD from his throne and now he is destined for the lake of fire and is not thrill nor happy about his final destination so he is trying to bring as many human beings with him to the same destination that is waiting for him when the time has come for Satan, the angels who rebelled with him, and those human beings he deceived and blinded their minds about believing and knowing GOD during their life span on the earth before they die and go over to the other side of death.

I would compare this situation to existation of viruses and antyviruses programs.

Viruses are needed for companies who create the antyvir's.

The same with God. People need a God because there is a Satan. Without a Satan we wan't scare anything so the God wan't be so important.

Have you heard about " free will", "choice"?

Do you not know, that we all have a decision to make?

Isn't your question better played on another, entirely different forum?

because if religion didn't have satan to blame for all their wrong doings, how could they justify what they do. without having a bad guy, a good guy would be meaningless. it's like saying there is life after death. if not, why would someone spend their lives believing in a god if when they die it was over. god and satan are man made, no worries.

Because God wanted him to exist. He knew that He could use satan to bring Him a greater glory. Satan doesnt exist despite God's wishes, He exists because God desires him to in order that His glory might be shown.

Satan is not the only creature who does evil things, there are human beings who are more genius, still living and posting questions to the God !

God is all-powerful and we have that same power in us, his Saints. Satan exist because God needs to send the bad people to Satan. God can't have murderers, rapist, and homosexuals in the kingdom of Heaven.

The Bible tells us that God has a Plan and a Purpose.

God is using Satan to ceate a learning environment that exists between the opposites of Good and Evil.

The School will end when God's Plan and Purpose has been fulfilled.

The Bible as well tells us that Satan will be dealt with when (he/it) has done what is necessary to fulfill God's Plan and Purpose.

    Easy

Because God does not intervene. Lucifer exists because he has the free will to do so. He decided to be evil and rebel, separate from Oneness to seek Selfishness.

And following "The Rebellion of Lucifer" Satan is actually a liutenant from Lucifer that Governs over our realm. Pretty cool story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5SPozTDwyA
