It depends from case to case. In my opinion each case should be reviewed separately by a panel of exterts before a decision is taken.
Oh boy this is a hard one. Everything in it's place. I do believe in euthanasia, but before there is a stampede to protest, I have to say only if all else fails. I am a community carer and have seen so many sad sights. Not just people in pain but people whose quality of life is so miserable and compromised that we wouldn't expect an animal to live in such conditions. I think euthanasia is such a delicate topic, especially as it can be looked upon religiously, that every aspect has to be considered. If I was given the choice, seeing and learning what I have learnt, then my choice would be to euthanase. I hope my view does not disturb anyone, as it is only my view, and I would never try to impress it on anyone else.
i'm ok with it as long as it is justified. it's not to be used as a way out just because your sick but if it is terminal then you should have every right to end your life.
When my Mother in Law and my Father in Law died..in both cases we were asked to say goodbye as the doctor was going to '( in his words ) ''make her /him more comfortabe'' in otherwords give them an injection...we were then told that she / he would drift to sleep and not wake up...surely that is euthanasea isnt it ? or am I wrong ?
I really dont know what my opinion is on the matter....i do know it is horrible seeing someone you love in pain knowing full well that there is nothing anyone can do to make it easier...
Give people the right to die and make others mind their own business
I hold the belief that Euthanasia is acceptable. Perhaps not to the moral standards of society, but in reality:
Who has the right to govern our life choices if they affect the individual and the individual only?
No one should.
There are far too many faults in humanity and assisted death to end physical or mental anguish SHOULD BE LEGAL.
- Just my thoughts.
As a doctor I see much suffering
Human being should decide when is time to die
Dignity and self respect even in the last moments on Earth
I support Euthanasia when person is in pain and wants to end own life
I believe that nobody should be forced to suffer. It is a complicated issue, but at the heart of it is personal liberty.
Its wrong, nobody has the right to take anybody's life no matter how dire the situation is.
Make it legal!
My father suffers from dimentia (Alzheimer's disease), his life now is simply an undignified existance, he has no quality life. The person actually suffering most is my mother, who in a way, has already said goodbye to her husband, the man she loved does not exist anymore.
I suppose each case would need to be treated individually, but with some carefull thought and some rules and regulations, I think euthanasia could be used to end much suffering.

If you cant prove that the Bible is false, how can you call it lies. That is irrational, for to call someone a liar you must have proof to the contrary to what they are saying. Anything else is personal opinion and mere speculation.

Abortion and euthanasia, and suicide all require a cessation of life. For abortion it is a requirement for the cessation of life of the fetus. For euthanasia and suicide, it is a requirement by an already living and viable human being for life to come to an end, or to bring their life to an...

bankrupting the United States? Before the advent of mass welfare, people worked and made their way in life. No job was too degrading to do as long as it put food on the table, clothes on one's back, and a house to live in. People were PROUD and GLAD to work and be independent! The advent of...
