I eat pretty healthy...Every once in a while, I choose to splurge but even than i choose the healthy choices in fast food.

I have a really big problem with ordering my food and receiving it in less than let's say ... twenty minutes. If anything is cooked in under twenty or thirty minutes - I have a serious problem with it. I cook - I know what it takes to cook something and going through a drive through is not getting you cooked food - maybe nuked food but not cooked.

To answer a question with a question, why put this as an either/or proposition?  Basically, I'm healthy AND I eat a lot of fast food.

Which doesn't mean I can get away with chowing down on just any old thing.  I DO have to pay attention to what my body tells me--but not to what Michelle Obama or any other so-called Food Expert has to say.

Learning to listen to that not-so-small, not-always-still inner voice HAS resulted in the following over the years:

    1.  Getting all of my teeth the heck out of my skull, thank you very much.  Mercury poisoining, horrible heavy metals toxin load in my mandibles, nuh-uh, bad stuff!

    2.  No more alcohol.

    3.  No smoking.

    4.  No chocolate.  (This one is fairly recent, and yes, it bites.  Or rather, does NOT bite, since one bite of chocolate these days is sure to  produce a result in my physical body that's...unpleasant, to say the least.

    5.  Not too much fruit (and especially not too much apple juice) unless I have a really, really good book I'm waiting to read from cover to cover while sitting on the toilet.

On the flip side, a relatively high intake of caffeine, sugar, and/or Dollar McDoubles from Mickey Dee's does NOT seem to be a problem.

Could that change?  Most certainly.  WILL it change?  Most likely.  But for now, at age sixty-seven, that's the way it works.

I exercise a lot but I'm afraid diet is my weakness. I don't care much for fast food, the problem is I don't like most vegetables and have to supplement this with vitamins, which is expensive.

Thank you for your answer's. If you were wondering about mine well I tend to try to eat as little fried food as possible, I love fresh vegetables and seafood, chicken and  fish and over all try to eat somewhat healthy. I can say one thing I hate is those evil little sodium nitrates but I'm guilty of eating stuff with them from time to time. As for fast food I always have and always will love pizza and wings, and maybe once a month I will go to a drive through for a treat as I have this love for some greasy junk that usually involves Taco Bell, Arby's, Wendy's, Mc D's, Long John Silvers and especially Popeyes. Now that I have made myself hungry I'm going to eat some lunch.
