What is the best way to lose the fat around the stomach area?
Cardio exercise like running or jogging would help you lose the fat around your stomach area. But you have to do it regularly if you want favorable results. I am actually on that stage that i am trying real hard to eliminate that fat under my skin. BTW, i have read a hub that can really help you with your issue. http://hubpages.com/hub/Lose-Stomach-Fat-For-Good

Walking is the best cardiovascular low intensity fat burning exercise. The bodies metabolism fuel preference during walking is body fat. If losing fat around the mid section is the fitness goal, one must lose weight through diet and exercise. The body will not naturally lose fat around the stomach area only through crunches for example. Crunches will build muscle tone, not spot reduce fat in that area. Fat is lost proportionately and varies with genetics and sex. But essentially, when fat reduction is the goal, low intensity exercise like walking will promote total body fat loss. Men tend to store more fat around the mid-section as women tend to store around the hips. These areas will be the last and hardest areas for the body to lose. But walking is your best bet to accomplish this goal.
the fastest way to burn off the fat from your belly is with a combination of weight training and aerobic exercise.
For the study, researchers compared the effectiveness of two exercise and diet programs. Subjects taking part in the study were assigned to one of two groups.
Group one followed a diet based on the traditional food guide pyramid (50-55% carbohydrate; 15-20% protein; less than 30% fat). They also did cardiovascular exercise 4-6 days per week at 50-75% of their maximal heart rate. Each workout lasted 30-60 minutes.
Group two followed a diet that was higher in protein and lower in carbohydrate and fat. Their exercise program consisted of alternating days of resistance and cardiovascular interval training six days per week.
And the result?
Subjects in group two (remember, these were the people who lifted weights, did more intense cardio, and ate more protein) lost twice as much fat overall than subjects in the first group. They also gained 2 pounds of muscle while the cardio-only group actually lost muscle.
In other words, subjects in group two lost almost twice as much belly fat as those in group one
