How do you tell someone they have abody odor?

That is not easy without embarassing that person of mention. It may be easier to mention it to someone if they are a close friend or relative. If this is the situation in your case, it still may be offensive to your friend or family member. You could start wearing a strong cologne around that person. Maybe they will eventually get the hint. Or possibly buy them a gift, that contains a hygiene kit, composed of a toothbrush, toothpaste, cologne and deodorant stick. Throw in a box of
cigarettes or chocolates, to camouflage your intentions a bit. Otherwise all I can say is that you would have to limit your time around that particular person, if their odor is too pungent and uncomfortable for your sniffer.  Hope this helps somewhat.

That sounds difficult because you don't want to make them feel embarrassed. Perhaps pull them over, and ask if they were in any "funky" environments lately, or if their shower's broken. Chance are, the person is aware of the odor. If not, maybe then would be a good time to talk.

Being upfront and honest is always the best solution.  How embarrassed could they be compared to the constant reactions others have to them.  If they constantly stink, then how many people must shy away from them because of that.  Or, if they just finished working out and don't realize they stink.

Personally, I would want to know.  If enough people are honest with them, maybe they will make a chance.  Sometimes, it takes an embarrassing situation to get people to change their ways.

If you, personally, care more about whether people like you than doing what's right, then you may not be the one for the job.  Ask someone who is more like me to do it. smile

This is hard, it would be easy if you will tell it to a friend. You can pull him/her on the corner and say it to him/him in a very friendly manner. However, if its another person that you dont have any personal relation that is a different story.

If it was someone I knew well ,I would say it as it is...Do you realise you have a body odour problem ....
If I didnt know the person so well then I would buy a deodorant and just casualy say,Hey ive found a briliant  deodorantit smells great..wanna try it ? If they decline then you have no option but to be blunt and tell em they stink !! Good luck
