   When is too soon to let people know you are single
   
   After a breakup when is too soon to let your friends and people you speak to besides your closests friend to know you no long have a boyfriend?

   In death a year but a simple break up 3-6 months is respectable.

   I would never come right out and say that I am single. Why announce it unless you are looking for false pity?  Allow people to find out in round-a-bout ways. That way you will avoid being the topic of discussion.

   It was a long distance relationship, in which everyone thought it would work out but it didn't. When your friends ask you ''Hows is your boyfriend'' does it mean you looking for false pity? Or do you still have to wait for three months to let them know.?

   If someone asks you about your ex there is nothing wrong with telling them you broke up. Always remember that life is a "personal journey". You get to set YOUR own rules!
   Most people have dated more than one person in their life and therefore they understand that "breakups" are just as natural as dating. It happens all the time. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Having said that I "personally" feel pretending to still be in a relationship around my closest friends and family is lying. People who are close to you usually want to lend you support during the rough times. Sometimes when people keep painful things to themself they begin to believe they are "all alone" which leads to deeper depression and sometimes suicidal thoughts.
   So whenever you feel comfortable to let people know that is when you should do it.

   There is no time period that you have to wait but be true to yourself and move on with your life. Life is precious and do not let one single moment go by without getting the maximum enjoyment, discovering, and fulfillment out of your life personally because everybody is different. So the answer to your question is it is never too soon to let other people know that you are single whether that be 1 day, 1 week, 1 month. It makes no difference because time is marching on no matter what happens in a person life and you just need to make the most out of every moment of your life on the earth.
