Start writing hubs! Read other hubs to see what they're like. As you're posting your hubs, continue to read and research how to sign up for Google Adsense, how to add links, make your hubs better, etc... You can always go back and edit your hubs. Read other hubs, make comments on them, and follow only those writers you are interested in.I only have 5 hubs but am learning a lot every day. After you have 4 or 5 hubs, apply for AdSense. That is your advertisement. I had to resubmit to get accepted. All this is from a beginner's perspective. I bet you'll get a lot of helpful answers.

    Hello luvb3innatural!

    Welcome to HubPages!

I would like to share the link to the HubPages Learning Center with you. There is a ton of information there that will answer most of your questions. Here's the link: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/contents

The best way to get started is to learn the rules, and meet fellow Hubbers! I put together a Guide for people just getting started on HubPages: http://jsmatthew.hubpages.com/hub/So-Yo … h-HubPages

I hope that this helps to answer your question. HubPages is an awesome community and I we are so glad that you joined!

    Happy Hubbing!

    JSMatthew~

As those that have already commented but I would like to add follow the way your brain mainly works whether logically or creatively, or if you are gifted, a combination of both.

Personal experiences work very well on hubpages. I suppose one of the reasons may be because we would like to know the writer behind the hubs especially the hubs we love the most.

Also try to reciprocate on the hubs looking after your most active followers. The ones who add comments and reply to your questions. They will always make the effort for you if you give them good reason to return.

I experimented by adding a link as a capsule where I added my favourite hubs from other hubbers: see either of my hubs starting What a Weekend. I also think I have made the sight more aesthetic and more manageable for the reader as well as rewarding those who have given me tons of encouragement.

They are a friendly crew on here and if yer get it right you will love it.

I agree with the others. Now, for what Not to do, read a hub I wrote called How New Hubbers Ruin Their Hubscore
