I am positive to organ donation! If I does not have any use for my organs myself and someone else have, I'm glad to donate them. Another person may have some more time to live because of my donation and that makes the aswer easy for me.
I've always felt that when I'm dead I won't need them anymore. So if my organs can save someone elses life, why wouldn't you want to do that? I've been a registered organ donor most of my life.
I say go for it. Like mcrawford and jeshon said, I don't need them any more.
P.S. - Modesto - you are insane. That is the most illogical, irrational thing I think I've read in months. First off - you have to match blood type before a donation can occur. Second the pancreas and spleen can and do replicate themselves. Your doctor was an idiot for not knowing that. And finally, prayer is the last bid of a failing effort, and anyone who thinks that prayer alone is going to cure them of cancer, or congestive heart failure is absolutely kidding themselves. Go to a doctor, get a transplant if needed. I'm not saying don't pray, I'm saying pray AND go to a specialist.
When I'm gone, I sincerely hope someone can use my organs -- while prayer may be powerful for many things, I have a sneaking suspicion that a heart or lungs might not regrow quite so nicely. There are huge waiting lists for organs all over the world, and so they can take whatever of my body is useful and burn the rest after I'm gone to get someone else off that list and hopefully restored to a full, healthy life.
I am on record as an organ donor................
For a mother to see, a Grandfather to have another heartbeat, a Dad, to push another bicycle.........oh yeah, I AM for these things.
Yet, if my young child died, ( she did), I can not bear to imagine........cutting her body open and ripping her eyes, liver, lungs, kidneys, heart.......out.
That is more than I can endure.
Blessed are the givers.........but show mercy, to those, like me who can not bear the giving of such a gift.
A gift is given...........anything else is TAKEN.
A "solicitation" is NOT a "donation".
Organ donation is good because some people need it for a better life
Are you having trouble deciding whether or not to be a donor? Take a listen to this arguement to help make your decision!

Is it selfish to choose not to donate your organs after you die?Only 25% of Canadians and less than 40% of Americans are organ donors. Is there any reason for you, as a dead person, to keep your organs that's more important than possibly saving another person's life? Should organ...

Should people be paid for Organ Donation? In the UK, Cash incentives or Funeral Expenses are ideas currently being put forward to encourage people to donate Human Organs. A lot of people die, while awaiting Transplants. Do you have any thoughts about this?
