Is there any platform other than hubpages to inspire creative writing.
I want to explore others also.
there's http://onepagearticles.com a rather new site that needs some authors apparently, I think there is a small contact form you have to fill out to get approved, but it could be worth a try, no?
There are many, like Bukisa, Docstoc, and other. There is non as good as Hubpages.
writing.com is where I started exploring writing online. It isn't a site where you need to sell, so there are just writers there, for the most part. You can get critiqued, store work, and read some pretty impressive work there (fiction writers should particularly check it out). There really is a serious difference between writing to sell and writing to get published. As for other writing 'money-making' sites, there are a host of them out there.
http://ezinearticles.com/
Ezines.com is NOT visually attractive like hubpages, and it has precise, strict editorial guidelines. It is best for developing short, content-rich articles. The disciplined approach at Ezines can improve your short-article writing skill. NO photos allowed. NO links allowed, except in the author resource box.

Ok, maybe it's just me, but how articulate do you have to be to post pictures of half naked woman into a Hub, and call it creative writing?

This one is going to be fun! What I've observed on the forums is that there are a few, kind of unwritten cliques of hubbers who consider themselves 'experts' in almost everything and kind of try to 'educate' newcomers as if one must submit before them because these veteran hubbers have won Nobel...

During my time at Hub Pages, I have encountered plenty of wonderful, ingenious writers who create original, unique content which is fun and interesting to read. However, I have also encountered plenty of users who create boring, uninteresting Hubs simply with the purpose of MAKING MONEY. Everything...

You know, I see forum posts complaining about how the forums are boring or dying. I see people complaining about how there's all "Indian Aunties" hubs or picture hubs, how people don't edit, it's all marketing crap and nothing good to read... and then I find these amazing...

Has anyone heard anything about the future of poetry and fiction in terms of niches? I am a bit concerned that all us poets will get lost in the shuffle somewhere
