I've never gotten much traffic on Squidoo, so ... I started converting my lenses to hubs; however...
My most recent hub was deemed duplicate content and unpublished, even though I'd deleted the "matching" lens on Squidoo. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I really have to change the language (I like it!) even though the other article no longer exists?
Maybe someone else stole your article while it was at Squidoo and is now published on another website, maybe even on HP? I hope not...why dont you run it through duplichecker.com to find out
You have to wait a few days before you republish it elsewhere because Google needs time to de-index it. It may take up to a week for your article to be removed from the search results and even longer for it to be removed from Google's cache.
Your article could also have been stolen. Run it through a service like copyscape to see if it was copied. You could also try to see what comes up when searching Google for long sentences found in your articles.
@ ronhi and CWanamake--Thank you, gentlemen! OMG, I hope it hasn't been stolen. That would be ... obscene, especially since I used family anecdotes. I'll check online--and wait.
I did the same and had to wait a few days before posting as well. I have a problem with Helium articles since I am unable to delete them. So I had to take some of my articles and combine them into a longer hub. So far this worked for me.

Is it better to write for HubPages or Squidoo?Recently, I've heard a lot about Squidoo being possibly better than HubPages in many aspects. Which do you think is better to write for if you're looking for traffic and earnings?

I'm 100% on the side of doing a proper beta test and taking time to make sure every kind of lens transfers with ease - from the small simple ones to the big long complex ones - like mine! I'm less bothered by WHEN my lenses transfer to HubPages than I am about WHETHER they all transfer intact -...

I don't know about anyone else here on HubPages, but all of the these new hubs being moved over from Squidoo are inspiring me to write more hubs. Not sure why, but they are. Maybe I'm just a wee bit competitive and there are some really good hubs moving over.

There has been a lot of discussion in the last few days about HP changing the rules and people being un-featured or even un-published for spam and over promotional activity. So I just want to add my thoughts......Whether people (writers) like it or not most of their traffic will be coming from...

See this article where they say they are experimenting with staff accounts:http://www.squidoohq.com/2011/09/13/wer … -accounts/I think they are prompted by the fact that HP appears to be slowly moving out of teh Panda penalty (albeit with some accounts seeing wild movements). Here's...

My Squidoo lenses were moved over to HubPages and I honestly had no idea what to expect. I have no idea where to start. I tried editing one of my pages by adding a summary and deleting affiliate links. I see that the links have been deleted but I don't see the summary. There...
