   The simple answer is by increasing the number of backlinks to your website.  You can get these in a number of ways:
   
   - by writing free content articles for the better article directories like ezines, with anchor text (ie links) back to a relevant webpage on your site.  You need to follow the terms and conditions for each directory regarding the placement and number of these links.
   
   - by posting comments in blogs and forums associated with your niche.  Again, you will usually be allowed to include links back to your site, perhaps after you have posted a certain number of 'unlinked' comments first.
   
   - by commenting in Facebook, twitter and other social networking sites, with links back to your site or page.
   
   - by writing hubs here in HubPages (but check that your niche is not one of the ones currently banned).
   
   - by doing all these actions on a regular basis. 
   
   This takes time but it WILL work eventually. In nature, 'organic' seems to be slow rather than fast!

   Both good answers. I learned the best to rank #1 in google is to write on a topic few have already. For example, don't write an article on something like "how to tie a tie" because the web is already saturated with these type of articles (not necessarily hubs) and you'll never make it to the top with organic search results no matter how good your SEO is. Hours of research is definitely worth the time.

   Be careful about links that do not follow because they are kind of useless and don't increase your page rank and position in Google search unless you have thousands of them. I believe that one relevant dofollow link from a PR 5 website is probably worth about 10,000 links nodofollow. Most blogs and social networks are nodofollow.

   the best way to do that is to get involve in hub page community, make it your home and permanently your home, get involve in all the activities that you can. Do it passionately without the intention of getting traffic, and you'll definitely end up getting more than what you'll have ever bargained for.
