   First of all, if you ask for my opinion, yes definitely it is.
   
   But again the answer will be no if you don't like the subject. Don't force yourself on some subject you don't like,

   Without the shadow of a doubt.  Psychology is fascinating and it can seriously help you understand yourself and the world.  Psychology is one of the most insightful subjects there is.  For the less serious 'psychologists' hypnosis and NLP are great fun too.

   Ok. Psychology is interesting, fun, and all that good stuff. But you asked if it is "worth" studying; ie. worth the time and money. In my humble opinion, psychology almost never pays off career-wise or financially. If you want to study it, you had better get a PhD. If you will not go that far in your education, psych is a waste of time. You cannot do anything in the field without a PhD or at the very least a Masters. Sure, you can get a $30,000 per year job at JohnQ, Inc. as a human resources specialist or some equally boring job. My biggest problem is that, for the majority of people, pyshcology positions do not pay well. The average psychologist (PhD) earns about $55,000 per year. I would never invest the time, effort, and money to pursue psychology when there are a plethora of other fields which pay much better.

   Yes, psychology is a fascinating subject.  The problem with getting a bachelor's degree in psychology is that there is not very much you can do in the field of psychology with a bachelor's degree.  You have to go on to continue your education and get a masters or even a phd. Most people aren't told this going in so they get disillusioned.

   It is my major and the lowest paying jobs. Even a Masters Deg won't help much. Phd's in my city make at least $100 an hr so that's not too bad
