I did not search for religion. I searched for God.

I searched for God and found a whole Universe welcoming me, I found a loving, caring, understanding and fair way to be and let others be, to share love and peace and welcome them. I wish everybody to find that, that would be an accomplishment a way and purpose that fulfills you and the Universe around as one, a whole Being.
    Love and peace to all

Esthofcurt I just read you and agree with you so much, I instinctively did answer God and not religion! We should not get confused between the way and the destination

God found me!  After losing a baby I was visited by 2 pastors.  They not only prayed with me to receive Jesus as my Savior but the Lord pierced my heart with words that showed me that He truly loves me.  That was over 30 years ago and I've learned so much about Him!  He has opened many doors for me, offering me experiences I wouldn't have had without Him in my life.  He is surely a gracious loving God!

I was born into the religion but I grew the faith.

Neither....religion came to me via my parent's expectations that I attend Sunday School and church as a child. I'm grounded in what I learned, but that doesn't define my spirituality.

We were created with natural spiritual longing, but we must find a way to satisfy that longing that is expressed in our form or worship. We seek to be a part of worshippers or group of people who are spiritual. So we were the one who searched for religion and not religion who searched for us. We can even change it if we are not satisfied.

None of the two, that is because , as i lived my life  i saw two things, the right and the wrong, and determining what in life was right and what was wrong was the hardest part, when i finally concluded what is the reality of it all, then i compared it with every religion, and the religion that addressed everything in our society, the society's of the past and the society's of the future and how to deal with any given situation, because if you think about it, a religion that is right is bound to be one that follows what we humans know is right, and that is where understand right from wrong comes in from my situation.

I didn't search for a religion. I was already in my religion. I only searched for spirituality in religion. If and when I succeed, my religion becomes the stepping stone for my liberation.

I was raised a certain religion, however now do not believe in religion. I think it is man's way of manipulating man. It seems to be more of a business than a God-like thing. I do however, have a deep and undying faith that gets me through life.

Egg or hen, what's first? If one can answer this, can answer your question as well.
