At the end of your life, what would you like to say the best part of your life had been?

Would it be something that has already happened, has yet to happen or you want to happen?

Retirement is the best time of my life, and it is now.  If I dropped dead at any time, I know I would have no regrets.  This IS the best time of my life, and I am content.  But if you really want to know, I wouldn't mind 50 more years of a "quality" life.  Meaning I can still be doing what I'm doing now--moving around and being able to travel.  And having a wonderful inner circle of family and friends.

The best part of my life thus far and I am sure in the future will be the years I have spent with my wife.

Besides being my wife, she has also been my best friend for 32 years. There have been some tough spots along the way involving bills, our son, my mother, her parents, etc. At 60 I am out of work, she has stood by me without complaining and without criticism.

I cannot think of anything that could be better than having her as a part of my life.

Raising my children and being a part of my grandchildren's lives.  I absolutely adored being a mom of young children and remember it with great fondness and likely a little 20-20 hindsight.

Definitely raising my children and being able to be at home with them and homeschool them.  We have has so much fun together, and I treasure the relationships we have built.

Easily adopting my son and finally giving up and finding quality sobriety and with it a full, happy and exciting life.  Hopefully the remaining years will be filled with unlimited possibilities so I will have more to add to this question in, oh say, twenty years. smile

When I die I would like to be able to say that the best part of my life was how I treated others. I feel that it is important to treat other people exactly how you would like to be treated. I want to give that person who just gave me a bad look a... read more

I think my marriage is something which I should be really proud of. So at the end of my life I think I will be happy for staying with a person for entire life who is the never ending source of happiness for me.
