Why do people fall for Internet email scams?
Every day I receive scam emails. There is a reason why they are sent, and that is because people fall for them.
I don't know why people still fall for them in this day and age, but I gotta say this, those e-mails crack me up. The English is usually so fractured and awkward that they're a treasure trove of unintentional comedy.
Plus, I had no idea that so many millionaires were dying in plane crashes. They must crash into mountains every hour on the hour or somethin'.
I'm not sure why people fall for email scams, I for one will one read only emails from people I know and trust, delete the rest. I've won the lottery so many time, if only lol.
I guess the reason for sending emails scams is at some point somewhere, someone will respond and then they will make money that way. I think people who are new or not on the internet 24/7 are the people which will fall for a scam as they I guess wouldn't know any better, but once bitten twice shy.
What I have noticed is that over the last 6-12 months the amount of emails I keep getting as almost double and 95% are junk or scams
I think there are a number of people that are very trusting. It isn't that thy are stupid, but rather that they would like to assume that others are trusting and honest, just like they are.
It doesn't cost anything to send an e-mail, so the kind of person that wants to scam others can sent out thousands and thousands of scam e-mails. If just one person falls for the scam and gives them money they have made a profit.
Some people are very trusting, a few are simply dumb. The senders must make hundreds or thousands from a single victim but have to send millions or billions of these annoying pieces of garbage to find the relatively small number of people who fall for the scams.
Marc I decided this was hub worthy! http://dmartelonline.hubpages.com/t/2d8ba3
Still amazed that people fall for them, it's purely a numbers game for them. out of 10,000 marks 1 will sign up.
I'm also still amazed that people donate to "charities" that are anything but.
the world is full of morons
right can I have your mothers maiden names, D.O.B, house number and post code as well as first pets name. Will also need your bank A/C number and Sort Code....purely for security purposes to see if you are who you say you are.
I guess some of them just look to authentic for people to resist. These scammers are out to get the most vulnerable and unfortunately it works a lot of the time!
The desire to earn money and to make constructive use of their time may tempt people to fall for Internet email scams. I come across these types of scams daily and think to give it a try. Sometimes I believe in whatever they say but when I research about them thoroughly, the result is always disappointing. This is my sincere advice to all people who want to earn money online to check these internet email scams before thinking to join them.
Lack of knowledge is usually the culprit dealing with those who fall victim to scams.
