Someone copied one of my articles word for word on another site.
Is it worth the trouble to try to get them to take it down, or should I just let it go?
The content is rightfully yours. You can have it removed from the other site. Here is the link to one route - this will help you file a DMCA with Google. http://support.google.com/bin/static.py … page=ts.cs Don't give up on it. The form is easy to fill out. HubPages also has various hubs and forums on options for removal.
In answer to you question - yes, it is worth the trouble. You wrote it, you own it and you earned the right to defend it.
Here is a hub by relache that may assist you with any questions you may have. Good luck to you...

Contact the site administrator and get it taken down. Theft is theft. It has happened to most of us at one time or another. It happened to me once and the Hubteam was very helpful in getting it removed. I'm so sorry this happened to you. It can leave one feeling violated. It's not like your wallet was stolen or some object. Your writing contains your own thoughts and ideas. It's a tiny piece of you, or perhaps even a large piece. Stand up for it!
If I see something I like, I will ask you, or, send you a letter to get your permission to use it.
I do this a lot and have had no problem, so far.
OLY
This happened to me sometimes back. I immediately posted my problem in a Hub Pages forum post. You can visit my forum post (the link is given below) and see how to solve this problem.

If you are sure that you are the author of the original article, you must definitely take action.
How did you find out that someone copied one of your articles? I hope it never happens to me but I am not sure how to even discover it has been done.

There is so much of this going on that it may not be worthwhile to mention. Since I know that this site is not cooperative, I sent my DMCA complaint to Google. My hub is copied word for word with all the lovely photographs and even a link to another similar hub. It probably is my best hub with lots...

I just ran across a site, radikewl dot com, that had copied another hubber's hub that I had a comment on. The entire hub, including comments, is translated into Spanish. No author is named. That led me to do a search for my own hubs on that site, and I found many of them, also translated into...

My Hub may have been copied on another siteNot only one hub but three hubs at the same time. I get early warning by the administrator. It said the warning is only visible to me. What should I do? My friends, do you have experience related with this case.
