Yes. I am actually a teacher of writing at a private University. However, I've had to learn about internet writing and Hub writing, which is very different from academic writing. I'm actually using what I'm learning to some extent in my classroom since I think many of my students will be writing far more for internet reading than for print.
I have very little, but I did take a couple of creative writing courses in college. I enjoyed them very much, but feel that I didn't really learn much from them. I tried to get as much out of all of my classes as possible, and honestly felt let down by many of them. Maybe I just expected too much, but most of them were no more advanced than High School in my opinion.
I took Creative Writing in college online. It was a very good class. I learned a lot. It helped that the teacher was a published author that we had heard of. We had a lot of question and answer time. She would also answer questions by email. Her feedback was outstanding.
No but writing is my passion so I am researching and reading to improve my creativity.
I took some creative writing courses in high school and college and also worked on my college newspaper, but that was a long time ago.
I have a bachelor's degree in creative writing with a minor in English. The intent was to refine my skills to write novels, though all I really wrote in college was short stories (which to this day I hate writing). There was some training with professional writing, yet for some reason those classes focused more on print design software (like adobe indesign) rather than the content of each article. So, for that reason, I had a lot to learn when I started writing for the internet. My biggest struggle is that I was trained to be a writer, but success on the internet is less about writing skill and more about self advertising. The phrase 'search engine optimization' still makes me shudder.
I have no formal training but I believe that if you have a passion for something you will study it on your own, sometimes more tenaciously.
No, not other than what I had in h.s., but I have always enjoyed reading - the next step being writing.

I am a high school grad. I have taken a couple of college courses but nothing worth mentioning. Other than that I am pretty much self educated. Just curious who I might be conversing with.

I am devastated and I seriously mean that. I was just getting above 400 a day and was thrilled to bits. Now I get over 200 a day.I did by now 389 hubs and most of them are not bad at all with good content. I backlinked as much as possible I could and worked very hard. I don't know what to do next?...

What book are you reading currently?I'm in the habit of having two or three books on the go at the same time: 'Thinking fast and slow' by Daniel Kahneman, Lee Child's 'The Affair' and 'The Years Best Science Fiction' by Gardner Dozois. What book(s) are you reading now?

Do we need to have a college degree to become a novelist?
