What is the most successful recipe you have ever used for a small dinner party?
Ciao Mark!
Thank you for your question. There have been many successful recipes that my guests have raved about. My I suggest that before you plan your menu, know your guests taste pallets. Cook a small variety to please everyone.
Don't forget great music to set the tone of the party.
Wishing you all a spectacular dinner party.
I guess it depends on whether it's casual or not. We've done a taco bar that was a huge success...and then we've done seared tuna with asian noodle salad that was also a huge success. We've also done seafood....lobster, crab, steamers...
So I guess it depends on a lot of things. We also did one where we did beer can chicken and people were practically fighting over it!
there are 2 - the first one was the spicy prawn dish and the second one was carrot halwa.
Could you all post the actual recipes please. I would really appreciate it as I am a self proclaimed home chef looking for new and delicious ideas to wow my friends with...Thanks

If you were to make a fancy desert to take to a fancy dinner party, what would it be?I guess I'm not taking the desert, I'm hosting the dinner, cooking it, and trying to come up with a desert. I was thinking mousse, but I'm not sure of my skill level on that one

When a guest brings wine to your dinner party, should you open it?If you open it and share it could seem as if you wanted to save your own, or keep it and risk seeming snobby - ie the wine not good enough, or again, mean - wine too good and keeping it for self?

Before going to a dinner party, do you eat something to curb your appetite?Dinner parties are often held after regular meal times. How do you change your schedule so that you do not overeat at the party, but yet still have room to enjoy the meal?
