Why do you believe or not believe in God? If you do what is your definition or view of God?
I find God to be a very interesting topic. I've heard alot of stories but I am very interested in what others think.
Yes, I believe in God joyfully. Why? It is simply a matter of faith.
It is difficult to define God in one sentence. This might help.
God is Love, Joy and the Truth
God is everything there is, was and will be.
God has infinite forms.
In a sense, God is also not what God is. Because there is nothing else to appear what God is not.
The one thing God cannot do is for God to Ungod God.
God can change anything in the past, present and the future right now.
Nothing exists, has existed will exist without God's consent.
God is almighty and cannot be hurt by you or anyone else.
Hope this helps
it's really quit simple. there is no god. that's how simple it is. even though Thesource has witnessed exorcism, i'll still have to say there is no god.
Thankyou for your feedback. I respect each to his own opinion. Thesource I'm glad to see your deep insight and vision of God. I'm glad to see you have something deep. Nightwork4 I understand having the view of no God although I myself believe. I think most people decide through their own life experiences when it comes to God so I'm not one to judge if your beliefs are in the wrong or not. If you don't mind me asking though what do you believe about life and after life?
Well, Ruby, I completely disagree with Nightwork and respectfully disagree with Thesource.
I don't "believe" in God, because I KNOW for certain that He exists and I know for certain who He is. Unlike, my friend, Thesource, it is not just "simply a matter of faith". Basing one's belief on faith alone is basing one's belief on blind faith, and our Heavenly Father and Son do not want us to live by blind faith.
It is important to know that there are 3 elements to any belief system:
1) Genuine authority
2) Reason/logic
3) Faith
Our Heavenly Father and His only begotten Son, Christ Yeshua, didn't leave us high and dry; they left us with a great deal of evidence and genuine authority such that faith is needed to bridge the gaps between the two.
Please understand that God could reach down out of the sky and water all of Earth's plants and trees with His hand, but that would undermine faith. In fact, faith is the key, because without faith, we cannot please God. Mankind cannot know God through reason and genuine authority alone - each one must be accompanied with faith.
And faith, is what the world will be judged on, that is why God deliberately kept some things hidden. It was a plot to uncover and discover the faithful...those who knocked, seeked, asked and believed. Because, "Blessed is he who believes and hasn't seen."
I believe in the God of the Vedas known as Krsna/Visnu, this being is a person with a universal form as well. God could be anywhere at anytime or anything,. There are didfferent features when it comes to the absolute truth. One is God llives in the heart of all living entities that second is we are all part and parcel of the supreme and there thrid is that God has an original form and personality that is separate from any one else.
I hope you get a chance to read Bhagavad-Git As It Is by his Divine Grave A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
God Bless

If God is like a light switch in a dark room, why is it so hard to show it to a non-believer?This appeared in a forum post recently:"They are led to stand before the doorstep of a dark room ~ and encouraged to discover if there is any light-switch ('God') inside it. The only way to find out ~...

A fine fellow posed a very interesting discussion today. You should visit his pages at http://zelkiiro.hubpages.com/ But I speak to something that came up there. Should religion interfere with straightforward empirical science and the logic and actions dictated therein. In my studies I read...

As a fellow human being,i want to ask if we could exist without a belief of something o one greater than ourselves.I believe if there was no God we'd have to invent Him.
