Not including your own, what is the best hub you've read so far and why?
The hub I've chosen is great, but its the comments that have made it my favorite:
http://americanromance.hubpages.com/hub … o-We-Fight
Its engaging, thought provoking, debatable, and speaks of a real and serious situation.
I don't know if links are allowed in Hub Questions or not... But First Encounters is the title of the Best Hub I have read, written by Cheeky Girl. It's about how I met her for the first ever time.
It's the most personal thing about me written on Hub Pages by someone. Something written by another person is not a thing we usually totally agree with, when we are mentioned in it. But that Hub is special for many reasons...
There are many poems I have read that qualify as runners up, but for now it's that one Hub by Cassy.
http://terrimeredith.hubpages.com/hub/A … ent-Orange
It's beautifully written, historically and factually perfect, and socially relevant.
I enjoy reading anything that educates me about any subject. I enjoy fiction on the big-screen. I want to learn things that I don't already know. I have scanned through the kitsch of the top earners and have yet to find anything of interest on hubpages, other than the informatives and how-tos. I simply cannot see how anyone would read that crap, but they do. This one is actually filled with the type of useless info that I crave- http://tresero.hubpages.com/hub/Ale-and-Lager -I know- beer- but who doesn't love it!
I’ve read many superb Hubs, in a variety of genres, but wouldn’t be able to choose one above all others.
On the other hand, referring to your selection, I wouldn’t read anything American Romance wrote, even if if his were the only Hubs left on the site.
And I’m surprised you’re in such thrall yourself.
From your profile, Mmargie, “I welcome feedback! If you have ideas, compliments, constructive criticism, questions, or a different opinion, please leave a comment. I would love to hear your thoughts, however comments containing profanity, name calling and disrespect will not be accepted.”
The reason for the disconnect, is that your esteemed fellow Hubber wrote a comment on an article he didn’t agree with, which is the perfect example of what you claim not to tolerate. Benchmark standard, in fact.
You’re clearly sufficiently besotted with this guy that his eloquence has moved you to post this question. The comment to which I refer offended me so much (not just the language, but the arrogance and attitude) that I wrote a Hub about it, called, “If I Said You Were A Piece Of Sh#*, A Lowlife Piece Of Crap, And The Vile Of This Earth, Would You Hold It Against Me?”
That’s not me talking, Mmargie. That’s your hero, AR. And it’s only a small part. The rest of it, and an explanation of why I think the issue is broader than just AR’s childishly petulant comment is all in the Hub. I won’t link it here (of course, this will hopefully attract some links to Hubs displaying excellence, not Hubs about the exact opposite). Up to you of course, whether you want to take a look.
Cheers. (Sorry to hijack your question..)
My favorite hub is the http://dexter-yarbrough.hubpages.com/hu … elle-Obama by Dexter Yarbrough. This link is for #1. At this time there are 30 hub conversations. The articles are witty, educational and Leroy is one cool cat. The hubs are a unique way of keeping up with the Obama family and political spats. If you haven't read the series I highly recommend them.
Thanks to all of you for your answers...there sure are some great and interesting hubs out there.
As for you, writeronline:
1. AR is not my hero. I happen to agree with much (not all) of what he writes in his hubs.
2. I wrote the question because I'm interested in what others call their favorite hubs. I am merely impressed with the hub written by AR because of the issue itself, the passion and dialog/debate it has caused, and the fact that (in my opinion) it is a serious and REAL issue.
3. I will not allow comments containing profanity, name calling and disrespect on MY hubs. What others write or allow on their hubs is their business. I am not the hub police. I believe there are others on hubpages.com doing that job. I am not qualified to judge people, although it sounds like YOU think you are.
4. If you have a personal problem with AR, take it up with him. I do NOT appreciate you blasting me on my entry, when its obvious you have a problem with someone else. An email to me regarding your issues with what I write would have been more professional, in my opinion.
5. You didn't answer my question. If there are too many to choose from, don't post an answer. What you did, by using my question to publicly insult me and another hubber, was unprofessional, and unappreciated.

Do you think it is important to comment on a hub if you have read it?I've read that some hubber's read hubs but do not leave comments. On person said be assured I read your hubs even when I don't comment. I don't get it. I think it is courtesy to comment if you read someone's...

I am not looking to name names here as this happens quite a lot on Hubpages, but can someone please clarify whether or not it is against the rules for a Hubber to come to your hub, leave a comment and then include a link to one of their own hubs as a part of that comment. I know it says under each...

When I started on hubpages I used to reply to every comment, and I still appreciate them as much as I used to...But is there a point when it becomes unneccessary to reply to comments? I think that its great when people reply to every one of their commenters, I really do, people like Sufidreamer...

I've only written a handful of Hubs so far, and I knew that I would encounter this issue due to the nature of my writing. I have one Hubber who continues to post personal insults in the comments of all of my Hubs. This individual has also indicated that he votes down my pages because he...
