How is it that I made $0.07 yesterday from my Ad Program? I thought I'd make 60% of sales.
I can not figure out how they do the numbers. One day I do well, and the next I don't. I am learning to just appreciate that I got something.
Are you sure the money was from a sale? It could be from the number of times people looked at your articles. You do get paid for that too. Also, I think the 60% comes out of the profit made from the sale. Not directly from the sale.
You may want to have a look at this Hub in the Learning Center. It might answer your question. http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/earnings-program
If you go back and re-read the terms of use ('cause of course you read it before you signed up for the site) you'll notice you get 60% of the impression time on your Hubs, not 60% of the sales, and that 100% of the ad revenues generated in that time goes to you.
Please note that impression-based advertising pays fractions of a penny per impression and that you will need to get your daily page views up to a level of many thousand views per day to make more than small change.

Is it true that the 60/40 model only applies after HubPages pays their expenses? Because I have expenses too... I don't see why we should suffer because HubPages wants 40% to be pure profit AFTER their expenses.

This month my CPM for the HP Ad Program is super low. It's been under $1.50 every day so far. And last month I had a lot of days where it was under $2. Wondering why that is and if it's just happening to me or if others are experiencing this as well.

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

I was just looking through my earnings, and I am making way more via hubpages earnings program than I am with my own adsense ads shoing up. I believe a 3rd or the ads would be my own adsense ones, but it only accounts for like a few percent of my earnings.Anyone else experience this, and do...
