I asked this of the woman who cut my hair, many years ago, and she told me she used Curel, because it is water based. I've used the stuff ever since (I slather it on after I shave!).....
Coconut oil. It is not only natural but it can be used as a lotion all over the body, a wrikle cream. decreases poor size, treats athletes foot, thrush, and relieves pain from breastfeeding. Great product all around for the body. When eaten daily it has also been showed to help someone loose weight.
My fav skin product is Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock from Neutrogena. My skin is oily and I have had problems with acne. This product protects my skin from sun damages, it's oil-free, amazingly light on the skin, can be used under any and all make up, does not clog the pores, sweat and waterproof...phew! yeah!
My favorite skin care product is : Avocado Face and Body Soap. It is really good soap for your skin. It has nice smell, you will love it, but expensive. It is made with 100% pure avocado butter, Avocado Face & Body Soap loves your skin, moisturizing as it cleans with the natural, rejuvenating properties of this powerful fruit. Avocado offers relief for almost every skin type, gently cleansing oily skin with no irritation to keep pores clear and healthy. For dry, sensitive skin, it soothes quickly and penetrates to nourish and moisturize.
And because it’s a moisturizer and a cleanser, Avocado Face and Body Soap continues working after you bathe. The fresh citrus scent is a gentle reminder that it’s helping to keep your skin soft, supple and healthy all day long.
Grape seed oil. It's higher in vitamin e and linoleic acid than even olive oil. It's also more absorbable than other oils and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Sunblock. If you can prevent the damage early, you're half way there. The only problem is getting young people to realise their skin wont be beautiful forever before it's too late.
I absolutely love Origins. They use natural ingredients that are safe for all skin types. Have been using them for years.
I have two lines of products that I swear by: DHC's Coenzyme Q10 series and Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals.
The DHC skin moisturizing products make my older skin feel fantastic. And their Deep Cleansing Oil is practically the only cleanser I use on my face, it's made with olive oil. I do use Dickenson's alcohol (important) free Witch Hazel too, when I need a quick clean.
The Bare Minerals help disguised my Rosacea. I've had to go to the doctor without wearing it so they would believe that I even had Rosasea.
My favorite skin care product is natural aloe vera gel for its all-round properties. It moisturizes skin, keeps skin smooth and supple, protects skin from sun, esp during summer and chillness during winter and aids in soothing skin, thus removing skin-prickles! My aloe vera gel works wonders for my skin - thanks to this nature's miracle, my skin is clear and glowing!
Castor oil. It is natural and cheap. It serves to both nourish the skin and get rid of pimples and melia. Great for hands too!
Presently, I use two. During the day, I use Burt Bee's moisturizer (99% natural)and before I sleep, i use organic grapeseed oil with 100% vitamin E. I use both because they are natural and it works well to nourish and moisturize my skin.
