If someone paid you million dollars, would you confess a deep, dark secret?

Confessing this secret could cause you to lose your job, friends, and damage your reputation for life.  Would you do it for a million dollars?  What about 10 million?

As for me I would, but there are many out there who have secrets that are far to deep and destructive to let go.  Especially if the secret could hurt a loved one or cause diversity.

depending upon my age at the time of the proposition, i might go for the 10 million.  $1,000,000 probably wouldn't support me in the manner in which i'd like to be accustomed for more than 10 years,
the only secrets i can imagine being so serious that they
would cause these results involve either rape, pedophilia, or some murders.  if any of yhese were the case, i'd make a very public confession, find god, and go into therapy in an attempt to salvage what i had lost.

Not a chance in any place hotter than a stove.
My name is all I have and I've worked hard and have been careful so as not to spoil it. My friends I've spent years building, and they're true, honest friends whom I'd never let go of. My job? Meh, I'd have a million dollars.

For a secret to be that deep and dark I'd have to make it up. But heck yes, I have no job, my friends would be hard to shock, but if they abandoned me because of a secret, I could do without them. I suppose I could move away and assume a new identity with all that money, as long as my secret wouldn't send me to prison. And hey you can be whoever you want on the internet.

Its an attractive proposal ... and I might have considered it seriously ... if ... I were  certain, that the Proposer, has the million, or the enhanced, ten million ... let me raise it to a hundred billion ... dollars ... and that he or she, shall willingly give it to me ... if ... I "told" my Darkest Secret ...

Because, these days, such Money could buy me more ... friends, relatives and reputation, than I can possibly handle ... in fact, I will need a Secretariat ... doing my "Selectings" ...

But there are a few problems ...
First ... I do not have any Dark Secrets to tell, all that I am, is clearly stated by me, in these Pages ... so the 'Telling" will involve "fabricating" a Dark secret ... that suits the needs of the Proposers ...  and Second ... Confessions and Money are not my Business ... Thus, I will have to "re-invent" myself ... into an "other" than what I am ... and that cannot Be.
But ... Thanks anyway, for asking ...

Aaah, integrity. What is it worth? It is worth keeping. It is the last thing we have when we lose everything else. No one can take that away from you, unless you give it willingly. Unless you are tricked into giving it away...

So no, I would not trade a secret, no matter how dark or otherwise for that price. What if someone's life depended on that secret staying secret? A loved one? Or a whole country? What is a million dollars then?

And a million dollars is not that much to some people. But I know some folks who's blab a secret for nothing, just because they are like that!

As it stands right now, I don't have any deep, dark secrets that would be a big deal to confess, so of course I would do it for a million dollars.

Perhaps yes. The confession would be good for my soul. I don't fear that. And the money would be good for everything else! Win-win.

Yes. But it wouldn't be about me. A deep, dark secret about yours truly would cost $10,000,000.
