Of course!! Mostly it's the advice someone wouldn't take themselves. Like when they tell me to just tell a guy I like him, but then they'll tell how they met their boyfriend because their friend gave the guy their number because they were too nervous.

I hate it when people say "just ignore them" or something along those lines. If something bothering me, and its directed at me, I'm not going to just sit there and take it.

One person told me to eat seeds of apple because it is so healthy, and after following this habit for years, I read in HP one hub telling by evidence that apple's seeds are poisonous & I think damage the liver & can kill if taken in big quantities.

This one is a harmful & not just useless advice.

many times, at most it more harmful than useless and it comes from the least person you expect

Absolutely! When I went through a bad bout of depression after my Mum died this person said he had some good advice - basically it was to 'get a grip and force myself to smile and it will pass'. I can't repeat here what my reply was to this imbecile, but needless to say his 'advice' was not taken!

Frankly, the vast majority of advice that I've been given over the years has been completely useless. While it can be helpful to get another's opinion or viewpoint in different situations, it's rare that the advice really matches up and can be useful -- especially the unsolicited advice wink. I like to hear what advice others have to give regardless, but then am very choosy about which advice I take and which is disregarded as not really being applicable in this situation. My husband, mom, and a few choice friends and acquaintances have succeeded in giving good advice. Most of the rest falls into the other category.

Lots of time, especially after having children. Apparently, soon as you have a child, everyone knows best how to care for your child then you do, so from family to the next door neighbour or to the person behind you in line at the supermarket, everyone feels the need to give you tons of advice how you should take care of the child.
