    How Do Colors Effect Moods?

    Why do certain colors seem to effect people's moods?

    Color as perceived is a result of the capture and reflections of photons vibrating at a certain wavelength..the effect of these waves vary from individual to another..

    Colors effect our moods a lot.
    Some people feel anxious in a yellow room and on the other side in  blue room they feel calm and relax. So because of colors effect our feeling and emotions, people choose colors  according to their taste.

    As stated above, the photonic frequency of a color makes the color we perceive...each one has its own frequency level.  Since this is true, those frequencies interact with our own brain/body/cellular electrical frequencies and have some effect, possibly depending upon our 'mood', state of health, activity, etc.

    A certain shade of pink is used in some prisons to calm inmates.   A dark shade of orange is used in eyeglasses to affect some ADHD activity in a child I know.  Blue and other 'cool' colors are generally thought of as restful.  Warm colors are more stimulating, red being the most active.  Violet is said to be 'anti-congestive[' for the body, a combination of stimulatory red and calming blue.  The list goes on...
    There are many 'color therapists' who actually use color(usually lights) in treatment modes.
