If polar opposites are close, I guess so.  The two couldn't be further apart from each other.

Only someone who loves deeply, and whose ego is not yet tamed, can also hate as bitterly, the same object of affection yes. This is only true of romantic love, where there are imposed "demands" to be met on each side.

Love and Hate are only related in that they are both deeply felt passions/emotions.

they are not at all the same thing, unless one accepts that brown elephant is the same thing as a brown dog merely because they are both brown.

They both are the same kind of emotion (i.e. deep, savage emotion) but they take two completely different paths.  You've heard of people getting in relationships with people they used to hate, and a lot of it has to do with the fact that we reach down to the same place for both of those, and they can intertwine.

While love and hate come from the same  speed of emotion and passion, yet the fragrance of both smell differently ,If love is there, hate also exists but recognition of each of them is tasted at par with sweet and bitter respectively.

Awesome image! Love all to easily turns to hate. If we love someone, we will tend to hate those who would hurt them. And what if we are in love with someone who hurts themselves?

As the staying goes, there's a thin line between love & hate; Only the people or things that you love the most, have the power to hurt you or cause you such pain. Before one turns to hate, there is usually anger, saddness, rejection, or the like somewhere in between.

Personally I think that when love exists there always is the another very similar and also different emotion that's called hate. It happens very frequently when people hate each other and then fell in love. In reality they only hide the real feeling (love) from each other and when they discover it they instantly fell in love. Aww it's so so cute I think smile Btw thanks for good question smile !

I always hated when my mother said, "You can't hate someone you didn't or don't love." I hated it because I knew she was right...after all, if I didn't care about them at all (as hate implies) I wouldn't bother myself or waste the energy that it takes to hate them.
