Popcorn: The salty ones or the sweet ones?

I'd like to hear your preference. For me, I think I like the sweet ones more, though I enjoy both.

I prefer the burned ones from homemade with nothing on it.

    Hello yougotme,

I have to admit that I have given popcorn a go many times but I could never really get into it. For me it tastes like paper with flavour on top. If my life  depended on answering this question though I'd go for the salty version.

My new favorite is kettle corn.  Lucky to find it freshly made at a carnival or fair, but will be happy with microwave version at home!

Wow that is some burnt popcorn in the picture there. I like salt and sweet but I think my favorite is Kettle Corn, a nice combo of both.  Unless we can include caramel corn--that would top my list.

Hello...I also like the sweet flavor better if I'm going to eat pop corn, but also do like the salty flavor.  The only kind I don't like is with too much butter....and although I do like it and it's great to eat instead of some fattening snack, I don't eat it very often because I had broken the inside of one of my molars,....this was a long time ago....the filling had actually come apart too & had to get a crown. I had chewed on a uncooked kernel of pop corn and that's how it broke.

My vote goes to kettle corn. It has a combo of salt and sugar which fuses on like a glaze. It is not overly buttered and non-greasy. YUM!!!

I use to date a girl who worked in a theater. She smelled like popcorn all the time. The break up wasn't good. I don't like the salty stuff. It is okay and I'll eat it, but I would rather have caramel or kettle corn. I've since gotten over the girl (I married a wonderful woman!), but I'm not the biggest salted and buttered popcorn fan.

Popping corn in a covered cast iron pan with a little oil and dash of salt is for me - not too salty.
