   What is the first thing you do when you log into your Hubpages account?
   
   I have found that I almost follow a pattern of doing things when I log into my Hubpages account.
   1. First, I check my best and worst performing hubs and see if I can do anything about them.
   2. Next, I check notifications and comments, if any, I respond accordingly.
   3. If am not posting a new hub, I hubhop and everything else follows.
   What is your pattern?

   After log in I usually check comment section first, earning section second and then goto my mail to get new Hubpages notifications. I love to read the comments and the most positive thing about comments in Hubpages is that even if you publish accidently, you can still edit your comments or delete it. Hubpages is a wonderful community of brilliant authors and people who like to have fun. Happy hubbing...........

      I agree, Hubpages is a wonderful community. If am not checking my mails i find myself here, and the community is very helpful.

   I love this question, because I noticed after a while that I started following a pattern myself when I logged in.
   
   Like dinkan53, I always go to comments first. I think it is important to make sure hubber and visitor's opinions are out there for everyone to read as soon as possible. So I at least approve the comments. And sometimes I will reply right when the comment is approved. Sometimes there can be 5 comments waiting at once, so I may not get around to responding back to all of them right then and there if I am pressed for time.
   
   The next thing I do is scroll through the homepage for the recently published hubs, questions, or hubs that received recent comments. If something catches my attention, I read it right away.
   
   After this I check my account. I look to see how much I earned the previous day and reflect on the trend of which days see the biggest gains. Then I see which hubs have rising and falling traffic and try to determine why.
   
   Finally, I check my profile to see if there are new followers. While I get e-mail notifications, sometimes I see the new followers before the e-mail. So, I click through and see who is new for me, then I go read a hub or two of theirs and determine whether to follow and post fan mail.
   
   Depending on if I have time left, I will just generally hop around the site looking at forums, the Learning Center, more hubs, and so on.

      Hi StephanieBCrosby, I like your description of activities in Hubpages. HP is like a magical city where there is always something for everyone and limited time to check everything, you are left with no choice but to set priorities.

      I agree dwachira. It would be great if I had more or unlimited time to be on HP. There are many great things that can be done and written about here.

   I check who is following me and I follow him/her too.
   I check my hub earnings
   Reply to comments
   Hubhopping at least 10 of them and reply answers at least 5 of them

   I check my feed (which is set to display new works, comments, and questions from the people I follow).  Next are my notifications, then my accounts pages.
   
   Yes, I'm actually interested in seeing what the people I follow write.  If the title and topic interest me, I read.  Some days its an hour before I make it to my own views page.
   
   I haven't gotten to know many of my followers, but I've learned a bit about many by watching what's new on my feed.  My email accounts are so saturated from years of online activity that I rarely read new hubs from there.
