You just make a commitment to writing 30 hubs in 30 days...whether it's one hub a day, or 30 by the end of the 30 day period is up to you. I find the second way works best for me because I can put more time into each hub and go back to some of them.

Had day indeed for the first hub. Spent the whole day trying to get the first hub done. It is now done, photographed, encapsulated and published. Good luck every one.

Hey there Karen. Thanks for asking this question. I was going to ask it myself on Monday, but you beat me to it. I'm excited to get this started. Hope others will join us.

Hi Prospectboy! Glad you saw the question. I still can't send you an email so at least now we know we are on the same page!

Hi, just been reading the HubChallengers Forum in the Hub Community forums – would it be better to start a thread for our challenge there -apparently it’s frowned on to create threads about hub challenges elsewhere.  What does everyone else think?

I started this challenge the day I joined. I'm almost halfway there in under a week big_smile

Well done. I think the key to this is preparation. I have my list and topics and am balancing that nicely with study, family and the hunt for new writers for my e-zine Tweaking Madd. If anyone is interested on the last one let me know!

      Cherylvanhoorn,

      What is Tweaking Madd about?

cherylvanhoornposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Tweaking magazine is written and run by students and writers. It is to give students and writers a place to publish. We have a Facebook page, Tweaking Madd and are published on ISSUU. My e-mail is cheezel1984@live.com.au if you want more information.

I've done it in the past and realistically found that I rushed through hubs and the quality I produced during those 30 days were often not of a high standard.

Go for it if you have the time however don't rush. Quality hubs get read and make you money

Okay, thank you for the advice. I have done it once before and am ready to do it again as it really helped boost my numbers and self confidence. Plus my job ends for the summer that day so I will have plenty of time!

JamaGeneeposted 11 years agoin reply to this

I'm with CyclingFitness.  Unless one is geared to writing one entire QUALITY hub each day, a 30/30 is little more than an exercise in churning out sub-standard hubs that WILL up the number of hubs published but won't score high individually.

I am so excited by this. Also scared silly. First time that I have put myself under direct pressure as a writer outside of study and Tweaking Madd and that is a labor of love.

While I agree with CyclingFitness and JamaGanee that the quality of the hubs has to take priority over the quantity of hubs, I don't agree that a 30 hubs in 30 days challenge will necessarily lead to lower quality hubs.  I found that the challenge led me to focus more on the hubs and provide the best ones I could. It was a great motivation, and kept me focused.  I found that I had to spend less time debating with myself over minor decisions, and tried a variety of hub topics.

In my opinion, the only hubs that were low quality during my challenges were the ones that were done during the last week, when I was behind and trying to catch up.  My advice is this:  make sure you keep up so you don't fall behind.

I recommend that if you do find yourself in the position where you have to rush to finish, that you either extend your deadline, or be satisfied that you published more hubs than you would have otherwise and not crank out those final hubs just to meet the number.

Good luck with your challenge!  I'm sure it will be a successful one for you.

Wise words Millionaire tips. I have read many people's experiences about the 30 Hubs in 30 Days Challenge, and most were very positive. I did it myself back a few months ago and found it a very positive experience so we are excited about this.

Ty, sage advice. I think with the challenges of life and study the key to this is preparation. I have my list, my stories and a plethoria of ideas.  Publication time has arrived for my quarterly e-zine Tweaking Madd and I am chasing new writers.

I keep seeing articles all over Hubpages, about the benefits of 30 in 30 (or people who just thought themselves crazy for undertaking it!).  I think I'm ready to take the plunge, I'm with you all!

Sounds great! I've been brainstorming my ideas smile. My biggest challenge is going to be very limited internet access during my vacation in July. But I think I can still make this work.

    3. Karen Hellier profile image89
Karen Hellierposted 11 years agoin reply to this

That just means you have to write twice as many in June Ellebee!

    4. profile image60
ElleBeeposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Yep that's what I figured! My only concern is that I want to try to spread out my new Hubs as opposed to publishing several on one day (in an attempt to have steady traffic). But I decided I could write in advance, then hit "publish" via smart phone

Maybe someone should write a hub about our challenge and we can comment on it from there as we go along? I am not going to do it because I already have a lot of hubs. Would someone else like to write a hub about the 7 of us and this challenge?

Hi Karen (just posted a comment but computer crashed and it’s not shown up, so this might appear twice) I started a Hub earlier this week about the challenge, I could shuffle it about a bit to include everyone.

      Hi Frenchtoast78,

You can do this challenge on your own any time you want. I started here in January and did it on my own in February just to force myself to increase the number of hubs I had. Welcome to Hub Pages...it's wonderful here.

Hi! I'm in! I wrote my first one yesterday. I'll start on my next as soon as I'm done typing this.

For the purposes of driving traffic to HP and announcing our Hubs, I created a blog. The details are on my profile. It will be good for back links and a easy way for us to find the places on HP to go to reach each other's Hubs. You create your own blog postings. The directions are there. You just send email to a special address and your email becomes the blog entry.

You'll just want to send a link to your Hub and maybe a little teaser saying what the blog is about. Attach a picture if you like, pictures are good. Don't send the text of the Hub, of course. That would defeat the purpose and violate our user agreement with HP.

We're not supposed to post links in comments, but links are okay in our profiles. So I put the link in my profile.

Hi, are we supposed to be commenting here when we write a Hub for the challenge, or do we have a place in the forum? I set up a blog where people can announce the Hubs they create, but no one's done it yet except me. Info is on my profile.

    4. prospectboy profile image88
prospectboyposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Hey Chris. It's not necessary that we comment here after every hub we write. I'm interested in posting my hubs on your blog. I may have to e-mail you on how to go about doing it though.
