    What inspires you to write?

My inspiration to write sometime comes from dreams, day to day life on occasion completely out of left field.

Everyone has a muse, mine happens to be my emotions and nature. I have to feel it to write it, so my reader's can "feel it" as much as possible.

I never relied on Greek godessess or emotions before I retired from serious writing.  I was  always inspired by the magazine editor's acceptance, followed by the article in print and most important of all the cheque that followed.
'No man but a blockhead  ever wrote, except for money.'
    Samuel Johnson.

You are a man, and that's what a man would say. Women are so much more emotional. Men rely on facts and reality for most of their actions.

      That's a sexist comment Cristal.

I am sorry MikeS. I felt that was a factual and fair statement.

Ah well, Cristal, that's the problem isn't it?  Too much feeling and not enough thinking.  I suppose I could spout stereotypes about women and use the excuse that I thought it was fair and factual.  Appology accepted.

In my condition I am searching for what to write. I can write fictions very well as short stories but not as poems... But here I need realistic elements... So I know I am writing after a long research....

For your question my answer is "my sweet wife". She gave idea's or topics to write...

I had never thought about this before.  I guess the most inpired I become is when I am with my friends and family.  They are a wide range of hysterical personalities, providing endless hours of inspiration.  They never get stale.

I have been writing for years as an outlet for intense emotions or usually emotional pain that no amount of counseling could help.  This is part of my "therapy" I put upon myself and it does help quite a bit. In the past, I would feel emotionally terrible and didn't know exactly what the source or issue was until I started writing.  Today, I am able to identify the source most ot the time.  If I don't....I'lll write.  P.S  But I don't burn my writings as suggested by some as a way to rid the emotion.  I sometimes go back and reflect to remind myself how far I have come.

The love I have for writing inspires me to write... It is one of the few thigns in this world that gives me a sense of fulfillment and belonging.  When I write I feel totally in my element. That said, it is a God given gift that I am ever grateful for.  :-)

Generally I  like to write about people and life; I write about people and the situations which affect their lives. I take note of things which happen around me and i write. Sometimes I take separate incidents and combine into a Short Story using fictional characters, of course. For me, the Short Story is a vehicle for social as well as human commentary( if there is such a thing as human commentary).

Hmmm...what inspires me? My daughters, my dreams, love, and glory. I wish I made money writing, cause that would be a dream come true, but for now I'll take it as it is.

I love to explore and research new topics, expand my horizons, test myself, and hone my writing, editing, and formatting skills.  Each hub I write, I try to improve on a personal level.  I love to write:  it's a challenge, it's enjoyable, it's creative, and it pushes me to places I never knew I'd be.

A variety of topics pondering in our mind often forces us to write down something.

    Hi tobusiness!
Sometimes, I have the images first before I could think of what to write.  Then, I'll match those images with a hub topic.  So I'd say, my photography inspires me to write.  smile

I love this questions! I get inspired by little things everyday. sometimes I go through a day seeing inspiration in everything and everyone and wanting to get home to my computer to type it all out before it somehow escapes my mind. And then there are other days I can't even utter a single word, I hate those days. I enjoy classical music or some time of instrumental music with no words when I write, it opens a creativity door and things start flowing.

I'm the same way as you are. I get ideas fro dreams and my surroundings. I also go out into nature and get a lot of inspiration from there. I love to go out to my local state park, hike or go swimming and just enjoy the nature around me.
