Does anyone know of any good, text based, web RPG games?

I use to play a game called Kings of Chaos, then Ruins of Chaos. Just wandering if anyone knows of any related games like that. I love text based games. Looking for a good one to invest some time in.

Hey, sorry there used to be this awesome site I would go to all the time but I forget the name of it.  However, I remember the game I spent tons of hours on, and maybe you would like to try it out?  The game is called Torn City.  Here is a link that supports just this game http://www.torn.com/  It is a text-based crime RPG, give it a whirl and see what you think!

I might have to give it a try. I don't know how I feel about a crime based RPG but we'll see.

I don't play text based MUD's too much anymore, I guess I've been lured in by the eye candy.

You can try this site to find yourself a new game however; http://www.mudconnect.com/

Its a very comprehensive listing including user reviews and forums. Good luck finding a new game for yourself!

Dunno if this is your kind of thing then, but I'd recommend Travian, similar to Grepolis but a lot simpler. Plus, if you're new to it, it gives tutorials that are damn rewarding upon start. I've done loads of articles on the game, and some which should help you get started.

Thanks for the recommendation to Kings of Chaos - trying it out now. ^^

Thanks for the recommendation. Kings and Ruins of Chaos are kind of corrupt games. It's not the fault of the creators, there are just a few alliances that have holds on the game. The only real way to make it in the game is to have a lot of "friends".
