Has anyone had a question deleted because it encouraged a discussion?

I have had this happen to me twice but I wonder, don't almost all questions spark discussion?  Just a thought...

One of my hubs has over 200 comments and that won a hub nugget - I don't understand what you mean by "encouraged discussion."

I would understand if that meant "your hub is offensive and causes aggressive responses" and your hub being deleted because it was extremely offensive by nature, but not for generally promoting discussion.

Hi Philanthropy2012... I'm not speaking of a hub being deleted, just 2 of the questions that I have posted.  Sidenote: Kudos to you for winning the hub nugget.  That is awesome.  :-)

Oh sorry how stupid of me, for some reason I thought you were talking about hubs! Silly me.
I'm even more confused now, you get an accolade for the amount of answers that your questions stimulate! Unless your questions would better have been forums?

LOL... It's totally fine.  I haven't posting anything in the forums section before.  I might have to give that a try today.

Well, if a question sparks discussion, it is better to be posted in the forums. The forum encourages discussion, and it can be ongoing off into a variety of topics.

A question probably shouldn't have too many answers with comments in them. It makes it harder to keep track. At least in the forum you can opt for chronological order or threaded if its a debatable subject.

That make sense... Off to forum land I go.  Thanks for your input.

It is a very interesting conundrum.  I have had several questions removed because it promotes discussion - yet they now have a feature to comment on questions - and it that is not a discussion, I have no idea what it.

Exactly my point.  It totally confuses me.

Yes, I had one of my question removed because it encouraged duscussion and was told to post in the forum.

I find that odd because it seems that every question has the potential to encourage conversation.
