How often do guests comment on your Hubs?

I have been on HPs long enough that more and more of my page views are originating outside of hubpages (most often google).  But, less than 5 of my total comments are from guests.  I find it interesting that Hubbers comment, guests don't.  Why is that?  Do guests comment on your Hubs?

I think it's because hubbers are encouraged to comment, it's part of being in the HubPages community. Guests usually are looking for some information, find it, and then go away. I had only a couple of guests commenting in my hubs.

Yeah, I think the best way to answer this is what Shuskanik said. Guests usually just look for information then leave but I've had a couple guests comment on mine from what I remember. Most of my traffic comes from hubpages so I'm not sure how many actual guests I get.

Haven't experienced it till now. Even if someone read our hubs from outside, there would only be a few who would actually comment.

Even when I search for some information, I don't comment on every article I read.

I have been on Hubpages for almost a couple of years, and I have had many views from outside sources.  But I have only had a couple of comments from guests.  I think you have to allow this somewhere in preferences/settings too.  You might want to check on this...,

I have wondered about this myself lately.  Awhile back I was reworking a hub and found a comment I didn't know was there.  It wasn't reported to me on my notifications and was from a guest reader.  I'm not sure if they tell us these comments are there, but am not sure.  Would really like to know about this one

I have only had one comment from a guest in my four weeks as a hubber, and it was more or less an advertisement for himself. I agree that guests have little motivation to comment -- unless they're bowled over, outraged....
