ca- before adsense code is added by hubpages?

    The ca- before my adsense code is not part of the actual code, is it?

    I'm just asking because it doesn't show in my adsense account.

      If you go to https://www.google.com/adsense/account-settings and scroll down to the bottom of the page you'll see "Property Information" and you'll see a ca-pub- at the start of your Publisher ID's.

    I was also worried about this long ago, but I checked, and the ca- part is part of your publisher ID. I did the same thing that darkside suggested- I checked my adsense account.

      Have you set up Adsense yet?

      If you haven't, to implement Adsense you don't actually need your Adsense Publisher ID. You use your email address (that is associated with your Adsense account), your zipcode and the last five numbers of your phone number.

      Adsense verifies your account and associates the Publisher ID and you're on your way.

        I've set up Adsense on hp. Thanks.

        I asked this question, because I do revenue sharing on my site (a Hungarian site) and I have a system in place where the authors have to provide their IDs to receive their share.

        The designer of the system suggests that this ID should look like this: pub-999999... So there is no mention of the ca- prefix. I've contacted him in this question and am waiting for a reply.
