Life has been altogether very different from the prospect of what i had imagined. I was not planning for marriage sooner but then now I am mother of a 11 year old son. Likewise, present life is very different. However its a happy and complete life till now and I am sure that Life will be more beautiful and meaningful in the days to come.
Whatever Life has to offer me, I am happy with it.
Thanks you....nice question.
i never thought i would live past 30 , so that in itself is different. now i'm financially stable with an incredible family, go figure.
Looking back, I was always heading towards service. I just did not know. The flower with a closed bud will eventually blossom. Waking up for me was like a suddenly blossomed flower, but with full awareness of my blossoming. From then on, I became a conscious servant of life or God.
No more alcohol or partying or wild indulgence, true, but it's the inner beauty of the heart which is now worth mentioning; the joy that comes from service to others; the 'sweet sacrifice' for noble causes. All this did not necessarily need to happen, but they did because I was 'lifted from the old into the new.
Absolutely, I thought that I'd graduate college and immediately snab a good job but it seems that I have had to struggle to get to where I am today. That's nowhere near where I want to be but it's a start. I also never thought I'd be a single mother either but nothing in life is guaranteed except change so I have adapted and made lemonade out of the lemons I've been given. :-)
Since young, I grew up with dreams. Certain dreams come true while others are not. I believe it is the choices we make during our path of growing up. Each decision being made along the way which decide the destiny.
I am glad that so far it has been good to me.
I feel that we all imagine for the best and if we don't quite come up to our expectations, we just keep on using what we have and doing the best that we can in our lives. In my estimation, life is more about giving and sharing with others, and not so much in what what we gain for ourselves in return. This is what I've tried to live by.
My life has indeed turned out completely different than what I imagined it would be. However, it has indeed been a most exciting, wonderful and completely unexpected journey; one I would not change for even the Grail itself (Stanley's Cup).
