   What do you think about women pastors and why do you think that what you think is true?
   
   I am a pastor and lately I have been getting a lot of flack from men about being a pastor. However, I firmly believe that the bible is speaking of women who were in a church yelling for their husbands to ask questions and were told to be quiet, and that the man will tell them when they get home. Especially with most of the women spoken of in the bible being prophetesses and a judge. I believe that a woman can be a pastor because they get the call the same as men do. What do you think?

   SEO Expert, boy I'd love to pick your brains, ha.
   
   A lady pastor, good for you and as you have the calling, I have no fear or doubt that you will be able to deal with your recent flack from men.
   
   As a man, or self proclaimed nice person, or mad little fella, I think it is only right for women to be pastors or whatever they wish to be. As far as I am concerned we are all equal in the eyes of any God.
   
   Those men that have a problem with this, I think have some degree of self issues or confidence.
   
   Anybody who wishes to have God in their lives and help others is a person worthy of my respect and admiration.
   
   As a modern phrase, "you go girl" and pay little attention to those small minded flack throwing men, they are not worthy of your time.

   I believe that a woman's place is not the pulpit of a mixed congregation. The pulpit is now where we belong. Paul is very clear in I Timothy 2:12 about this matter when he stated, "But I suffer not a woman to teach nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence". To me, that is a clear boundary on the matter of women pastors. Scripture is clear on this issue, along with the examples set by the priesthood not being open to women. That does not mean that they can not teach other women. The cases where they were prophetesses and judges were special situations. Even in these special situations, the women were never called to be priests. The older women were clearly instructed to teach the younger ones on many matters. I am sure that He has his reasons for these limits.
   
   As to my reason for thinking that is true, I still hold to the Bible as "God's Word". To me that means that it is the final authority on many matters, including who is qualified to be a pastor and what those qualifications are. Many modern churches have compromised in numerous areas, including who they allow in the pulpit and their qualifications. Although the church compromises, God makes it clear in the Bible that He does not compromise on such matters. When you study the word, you know what it says on the matter of women pastors and their role. Going against the Bible on such matters is like the warning signs that state "Swim At Your Own Risk".  I am not one to take such risks or treat such a serious matter as pastoring in a reckless way. If you believe that you have received the status of being a 'special calling' to the role of prophetess or a judge or even a pastor, it is something you want to be 100% sure about, since the consequences at risk are tremendous. The Bible is not God's suggestions or just another piece of literature than can be sliced and diced through higher criticism.

      Let me explain why Paul said that. The church was made up like a colloseum. On the first two levels were all the men and up top where the women with their children. The women would then yell down to the men to get the sermon that was heard by the men

   If you believe this is your calling, go for it, and appreciate the blessings you can share.  However, I hope that if you belong to a specific religion it's one that doesn't have that narrow-minded POV-  the one where individuals quote Paul instead of quoting Jesus.  Best wishes!!!!!
