My spirit was educated by the Almighty has educated my spirit as a theological individual His Godhead. It is the concept of how God connects and communicates with the spirits of humankind.
As it is written,God is a spirit, and they they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Theology is a spiritual concept and can not be determine by schools of world education, which schools is without the integrity of spiritual knowledge. How to become one with God in the unity of His spirit is beyond science and self agenda. Only through DIVINE knowledge can one interpret what is divine concerning God.
Theology concerns the principals of God for humankind and how He directs us to through Jesus Christ to conform our life in this world.
I think of the long four years my husband studied to get his Masters Degree in theology. It was hard work for him and our family because of costs and moving around a lot.
"Theology concerns the principals of God for humankind and how He directs us to through Jesus Christ to conform our life in this world." This is a nice definition of Christian theology. As someone who actually holds a Master's Degree in the discipline, I think of "philosophical reflection" when I hear the word, "Theology." Without having solid background in western intellectual history, theology can degenerate into a series of personal confessions much like the one written by Apostle Jack. Theology, per se, is an academic discipline. It can be a personal and confessional thing for some believers, but it wouldn't be taught at the university level as a legitimate academic subject.
First reaction is confusion responding to the word theology. Next, is the base or root being for that for this 'self' is all the finger pointing when remembering all the comparative theology studies. What comes to mind is theology is the study of God relational to the universe. Simple enough. It is not a definition of or for God per se, since for a particular theology that is a given or a known for the study. That definition for God is relative to that study what ever 'that' is.
I'm not wanting to be critical, yet the picture presents an allusion to Christian theology. That alone may be offensive enough to not get an answer from a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu, a Buddhist, or even a North American Indian holding to traditional views. Each have a theology unique to its set of beliefs and definition of God. Hence the feeling I have regarding theology as confusion.
Great question. Not many understand that word much less things like dogma, doctrine, gnostic, theist, and on and on. Then the question becomes for this 'self' is it necessary? I waver on it from season to season. Thank for asking.
The study of God, but not simply as an academic pursuit. It is the study of who He is and what that means to us. Searching His word to know Him, not merely about Him.
I think of the study of religions. Just because you study theology, does not mean that you are a religious person.

Anytime a Christian is asked a tough question, such as why there are natural disasters or genetic mutations that kill millions of people, they reply that God's ways are "higher" than our ways, and therefore we cannot even come close to understanding what sort of "justification"...

How do we know if we understand the correct context when we study the Holy Bible?I have often wonder why we sometimes if not often misunderstand the context of chapters and/or verses when we study God's word. One can read a verse or chapter a number of times believing they understand it's meaning ,...

There are people who believe in God and people who do not.I know that there are gnostics and agnostics but this is not about that. Do all the people who believe in God also believe that man has a soul that does not die? Do all the people who do not believe in God, do not believe that man has a soul...
