    Which one of Haruki Murakami's books should I start with?

    I've heard great things about his work, I'm wondering which book that fans would suggest I start with?

    His most famous novel is probably "Norwegian Wood". But I haven't read it, so I can't say it is good or not. Some told me that it was boring....but since it is so famous, many people must like them.

    Norwegian Wood, his most famous and best selling novel, is probably the easiest reading, and may be a good place to start to get used to his style, but if you are into surrealism, then Kafka on the Shore or The Wind up Bird Chronicle are both excellent. I have loved pretty much everything I've read by him.
