Who is your favorite horror movie character?

There are many famous horror movie characters such as Samara, the evil child-ghost in 'The Ring' film series, Pazuzu, the malicious demon who possessed Regan in the film 'The Exorcist', Chucky the murderous possessed doll in 'Child's play' film and its sequels, Jason Voorhees, the famous antagonist in Friday the 13th film series, Freddy Krueger, another famous antagonist in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' film series and many more!

Freddy Krueger from The Nightmare on Elm Street. That's the man of my nightmares, hehe. Really, after watching these movies I couldn't sleep for long.

Definitely Freddy Krueger, I did prefer the newer version of the film though.

My favorite horror movie character is Michael Myers. To be more specific, Rob Zombie's version of Michael Myers. I loved John Carpenter's Halloween. It was a movie from my youth that could have scarred me for life, or laid the foundation for my love of horror. It did the latter. But as I became obsessed with horror films, the supernatural element of the killers became a far to common theme.

What I loved about Rob Zombie's killer is the development we were allowed to see. Watching the events that lead to the man he would become showed the viewers that we were watching the making of a psychopath. There was nothing supernatural about it which made him more believable thus more terrifying.

The scene that stands out in my mind the most was when the couple was making out on the couch. If you look closely you can see Michael approaching silently in the background. There was no sudden "poof" and he's here. Even as an adult that one small detail had an impact on me.

Michael Myers the psychopath is ten times scarier than Michael Myers the demon spawn which makes him my favorite horror movie character.

My favorite horror movie character is from some very bad horror movies that are no longer made. His name is Radu and he is a vampire. Unlike some "modern" vampires, he does sparkle in the sun and he is definetly is not sexy (in fact he drools) or full of angst. I like him because he is a pure monster, of the supernatural variety, in every sense of the word.

I also like Pumpkinhead , especially in the first movie, because he is just plain mean.

Also, do not forget the great lines given to us by Pinhead.

Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell.

No tears, please. It is a waste of good suffering.

Freddy is one of the best characters ever created, meanwhile Chucky is one of my favorite characters.
