What does Marriage equality mean to you/

Some homsexuals base their right to marry on marriage equality. What do you think? To me it means everybody will have an equal right to marry?

Everybody deserves the right to get married.  If society tells us that marriage will bring stability and it is something we all must do, then why deny Homosexuals that stability?!  Its beyond me, but again it goes to shows how closely religion is to politics unfortunately.

Hi belleart. So do you think equality would then have to be extended to other groups that we typically dont accept; incest, pedophiles, bestiality? Just asking. Thanks for sharing your answer.

kellyteam,  incest, pedophiles, bestiality are crimes! I'm not sure how you would put that in the same catagory as two law abiding consenting adults who are in love that want to get married. I could care less who gets married to whom.

I understand but would it remain so when you allow marriage equality?

Those 'other' groups are criminal offenses.  They are people who break the law and should barely be allowed live never mind get married.  Homosexuals are not in the same category at all.  I do  see what you mean tho but no-completely different.

I totally agree with you Belleart they are law breakers and we as a people do categorize them differently. Again just asking, why do you think God covered them all in the same chapter of Leviticus and called all of these acts an abomination?

Religion has a way of discriminating against things they don't agree with, Gays, liars, cheaters, adulterers- anything that goes against the socially acceptable way of living.

I hope this isn't a list of the socially acceptable.
