   The smile on my children's faces when I first see them in the morning, the look in my husband's eyes when he is leaving for work and doesn't want to leave me, and the way the whole house seems to need me.

   I would say (for me) it would be both (simultaneously) that significant feeling of being needed and the inner knowledge that I long to optimize my spouse's, offspring's and other's happiness.

   A gesture or words makes me feel loved. My family members are the ones who made me felt the love being given to me.
   
   This sort of feeling can be felt when it is shown without words at times.

   Feeling understood and valid. 
   
   You don't even have to agree with me, just as long as you're willing to listen to what I'm trying to express & validating that I have the right to my own feelings and opinions.  That level of understanding and acceptance is by far the biggest way someone can show me they love me.

   My partner getting us coffee ice cream, him helping me out with medicine when I don't feel my best, it is the little things that I enjoy when it comes to relationships.

    I feel loved when my friends and family listen to what I have to say.  I am not quite so funny, or witty, and my days are generally mundane.  Yet sometimes they sit and attentively listen to the echoes of my heart as if I were really saying some brilliant stuff. Now that is love.
