Did you create your own Hub Groups?

How and why did you decide to use your own Hub groups (or not use them)?

"Did you create your own Hub Groups?".......huh?   Um, I think I know what you mean, banks.....like the "Hub Hoppers", etal?

Under "my account" and "Hubs" there is a "group" tab.  Clicking on that allows you to create your own groups for your hubs (such as "Maine", "Hikes", or "Favorite Hot Wing Bars")  Links to other hubs in the group show up below an open Hub.

OH....OK...thanks for explaining.   I've been here 14 months and I'm still wandering around with no clue about a lot of things.   Every community had their "drifters."

I use the hub groups to link hubs on similar topics.   Most of my hubs are grouped since I write a lot on similar topics.  I love the fact that the hub groups give a direct link to the next hub at the bottom of the one that is being read.  For me, It was a no brainer to use them to make it easier for readers to see the next article in the group

I do this also.  Do you think it helps increase traffic to your Hubs?  (You would think it would).

Yes, I do, although I have a couple of orphan hubs that don't fit in with any of my categories. I could just create new groups just for them, but it seemed silly to create a hub for just one or two hubs. Most of mine fit neatly into about five categories though.

As others have pointed out, when you place your hubs in a group, links will show up at the bottom of your article to another in that group. Placing my hubs into groups is also a useful tool when looking for a specific hub on my stats page. I can click on a group (like Recipes) and only my recipe hubs will show. This makes it easy to see the best performers or find a specific hub that I want to tweak.

Definitely.  I tend to write about certain subjects and like to group them together. For example, my quilt ones are grouped together, my personal observations together etc.... I also find myself looking for the feature when I like someone else's hub.  I want to read more about what they are saying on a certain subject and this feature is perfect for that.  I figure if I look for it, people may be looking for it on my hubs as well.

Quilting!  Do you know how to make a t-shirt quilt?  I have a HubPages question about that.

I do know how to make one.  I'll look for your question and answer there.
