Anyone who uses Firefox have trouble copying and pasting inside a hub capsule?

When I use Internet Explorer, I have no problems with the copying and pasting into the hubs capsule, but when I use Firefox, I do?  Is it that Firefox is not compatible with the hub capsule?

It is interesting what works and what doesn't. I have found the same issues as you. So, I now use Firefox for website development and Word Press blogs, but I use Internet Explorer for HubPages. Either should be compatible with HubPages, but whenever I try to use Firefox, sometimes, I have problems with HubPages. Sometimes, right in the middle of things, Firefox simply collapses, leaving me stranded. My suggestion - create everything (whether using Explorer or Firefox) in a MS Word document and then cut and paste into the capsules when you are ready to create your hub.

I am most successful when using Explorer (vs. Firefox) with HubPages.

By the way, Faith, I love your new profile photo - been meaning to say something before now.

Thanks so much, Marlene, for the great answer, as I wanted to make sure it was not something to do on my end with my computer.  Thanks for all the added details, which are of great help.  I appreciate the kind word too.

I use Firefox and have no problem cutting and pasting in text capsules on Hubpages.  With Firefox, you cannot use the little scissors on the text capsule heading (like you can with IE).  After highlighting the appropriate text, you have to use the "cut", "copy", and "paste" options from the Firefox "Edit" pull down at the top of the web browser page.
You can also use the shortcuts, "Command + X" for cut, "Command + C" for copy, and "Command + V" for paste.
You cannot cut, paste, or copy with the capsule controls in Firefox like you can with IE.
    I use a Mac, but I don't think that makes a difference.

I never had a problem pasting copy from Friefox into a Hub Capsule. I have done it with text an urls. Naturally, pictures have to be downloaded in the proper format and placed in the photo capsule.

The problem could be with the sites you are trying to copy from, since some of them do something that makes copying the site copy very difficult. I encountered that problem in the past with Firefox and IE, so I gave up on it.

I get the impression most people do not do this, but I write in the capsules. I do a save and then copy to word, where I run a spell check and a grammar check with some new software, I recently purchased that works very well. I just like typing in the small window, so I can preview the site several times along the way, so see if the capsules are acting as I want them too, or is the first full-width  capsule to long, thus pushing the ad above the photo. I also like to see how the headlines are going to break.

Thanks Larry for the great and detailed answer.  All have answered here so varied, that I am not sure I can pick a "best" answer.

No one has made any mention about the versions of the programs they are using. I have the latest update for Firefox and am using Microsoft Office 10. I do not know if an older version on one end or the other may be causing some of the problems.

I write my Hubs in Word, then use copy and paste into my capsule with IE8.  I use Firefox for almost everything else, but like you, I cannot copy/paste into my capsule using Firefox.  If I were you, I'd just use IE for that purpose.

I use Open Office for word documents and can copy and paste into text capsules using Firefox, but there is some header/source verbage that has to be deleted after I paste the text into the capsule.

That's what I do, due to the copy and paste problem under Firefox.  Thank you for the answer.    And thanks too, bankscottage, I will try that too.
