Why is Hillary Clinton taking the blame on Benghazi?

Apparently the buck stops with her and not Obama.  She is a good little soldier taking one for the team.  Obama must be so relieved that she pulled his ass out of the fire.

Maybe she deserves it. We don't yet know because the administration is obfuscating. We have to recognize the possibility, though, that since Obama doesn't show up for most of his briefings he was ignorant of the problem.

Yeah, those silly security briefings.  Why have a briefing when you can read a summary at the golf course.

In the military, the commanding officer (the commander in chief) takes ultimate responsibility.  Honorable leaders take responsibility for others actions when things go wrong and give all of the credit to others when they go right.  Then vow to identify and correct the problems.  They don't blame others or make excuses.

He's such a stand up guy! I guess Hilary just does not warrant the coddling handed out to Eric Holder....still no one to blame there but that does not matter since the Prez got off scott-free in the equation.  ~WB

The Benghazi terrorist attack was a breach of national security, thus Hilary Clinton, as Secretary of State, took blame because it lies within her duties.

So you think national security is not part of the duties of the President aka the Commander in Chief.

No, that's not what I'm implying whatsoever. Obama most likely instructed her to take the fault for him. He should be accepting full responsibility.

Security abroad does fall under the Sec. of State's purview.

If you watched the debates President Obama made it clear HE takes full responsibility.

He's made no formal statement about it, DMartel. What is said in a debate means nothing. Case and point.

Neither of the Clintons has ever done anything for nothing. She is not Obama's toady. Both she and Bill detest the man. She wouldn't have done this for him without powerful cause. Some day, we'll learn what her price was.

Why did Oliver North, Colin Powell take the blame for their respective administration?

One thought is that by taking the responsibility away from Obama and Biden, it won't affect the election.  I would imagine that her interest is in keeping a democrat in the White House.
