Why are some people able to see both sides of an argument?
Are you a peacemaker.
I'm one of those people. It might be that I was born in spring (a middle season--not too warm, not too cold), it could be the way I was educated (my parents had no influence in this) or it could be a combination of all.
I'm rather good at seeing both sides of an argument, however that has its negatives when I know that the other side is painfully weak against the correct side. I get passionately defensive when somebody challenges something that I know to be 100% correct.
Back on to the question, I think it's just because I've tried for so many years to become this neutral, fair person, and that is born out of a pretty disruptive childhood. While I've never been a tear away, I wasn't exactly a star child, and before I settled down with my fiancee I was terrible for getting into pointless fights. I followed by example of the people I wanted to be my friends, and always knew that I wasn't a terrible person.
Now to try and make up for a couple of years of pretty negative behaviour, I have spent most of my life striving to help others, stop bullying and promote equality in all areas of life. I have long sinced made up for past mistakes, but I still look back and feel ridiculous for changing who I was. This is what I believe makes me a peacemaker. Sort of like a can you know happiness if you've never felt sadness thing, I suppose.
Mature people are able to entertain themselves, entertain others, and entertain a new idea.
I am trained or learn in life by putting myself in both sides. This way, I can clearly understand when an argument is created. By putting yourself in both sides will enable you to see clearly without jumping into conclusion.
may be its because they are just watching the argument as outsiders and so they are able to see both sides of the argument!
Most times there are more than two sides to an argument!
Why do some people perceive this and others don't? Pride blinds reason and lessons can't be learned harming relations with others.
I think to see both sides of an argument, you can't have any feelings involved in any way to remain neutral. Take for instance if it is an argument between your spouse and her best friend? Of course you are going to lean towards your spouse's side. You better anyway! LOL
I doubt that anyone can see both sides of every argument. However, I think there are people who can see both sides, even if they have their own opinion on the subject, they are open enough and willing to possibly learn something that may change their opinion. Those same people are also good at predicting the opposing side of an argument, allowing them to present a stronger case.
if someone is totally neutral, there is no point in involving him in the discussion. If he has not opinion and is not going to change that stance, there is no point in trying to persuade him. His mind is made up and his answer is, "I don't care."
I think there have been times when most of us have been in that position.
Am vivien from uk I have to give this miraculous testimony, which is so unbelievable until now. I had a problem with my Ex husband 3years ago, which lead to our break up. when he broke up with me, I was not my self again, i felt so empty inside me, my love and financial situation became worst, until a close friend of mine Lucy told me about a spell caster who helped her in the same problem too his name is Dr iyayi. I email Dr iyayi the spell caster and i told him my problem and i did what he asked of me, to cut the long story short. Before i knew what was happening my husband gave me a call and told me that he was coming back to me in just 2days and was so happy to have him back to me. We have two kids together and we are happy with ourselves. Thanks to Dr iyayi for saving my relationship and for also saving others own too. continue your good work, If you are interested to contact him and testify this blessings like me, the great spell caster email address is:iyayispelltemple@yahoo .com you are the best among all the spell caster online I hope you see my testimonies and also pray for my family too.

Have you ever jumped to a conclusion before hearing both sides of a story? What did you learn through your experience? Consider: Proverbs 18:17 The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him and Proverbs 18:8 - The words of a gossip are like...

The topic of Israeli and Palestinian relations comes up often. Be it when bombs and shelling kick off in the disputed territories, or be it when either side steps up a campaign for recognition. We have all over the years got used to the Israel and Palestinian Issue being a hot topic of debate. In...

Looking at both sides of your beliefs - have you tried it?I came across this quote (in pic), and it resonated with me a lot - I try to do this, but in complete honesty, I don't manage it with as much as I'd like. I'm going to give it a go though. But I'd like to ask - atheists, religious alike -...

Like the Rockafellers, I think both sides need weopans and while I am neither religious or atheist, I think it's only fare. This may seem strange to some, but to me it makes perfect sense. The problem lay in words, not in method. does this make sense?

Watch what a CNN Reporter has to say about the facts of what happened in Charlottesville.Did President Trump call neo-Nazis “very fine people” during a famous press conference following the Charlottesville riots of August 2017? The major media reported that he did. But what if their reporting is...

A bullet was shot through a window in Obama's Denver campaign office, while there were people inside. It's a miracle no one was killed. Man, we have some crazy people!http://www.9news.com/news/article/29413 … gn-office-
