   I have not yet unfollowed any Hubbers. I have considered it, seeing some very slanted opinions in forums and in questions, particularly in this zany political season, but am trying to overlook the "malarkey" if I really like the hubber's day to day content. (Of course, I hope no one has unfollowed me for similar reasons)

   I haven't either. I try not to follow just for the sake of it because "unfollowing" when you realize that you didn't really want to follow them in the first place would be awkward. Do you follow?

   There are some hubbers that are in the campaign season a little over the top with who is the bad guy and who is the good guy. Having looked at their profile page I find a lot of their work is political. If I see their name I just delete the hub or forum as against deleting them. But that's my view.
   Good question.

   I unfollow hubbers for various reasons such as:
   
   1) If they are found to be rude to anyone on HP. I don't tolerate bad behavior.
   2) If they haven't published anything in a while...like say three months. I follow people to read their stuff not to make up numbers so when they start publishing again I will follow if I am still interested.
   3) If their hubscore drops below 75 which will automatically affect my score
   4) If I find that I am no longer interested in reading their stuff.
   5) This one is purely selfish but if I find I have too many people and I can't keep up I will unfollow the ones I am least interested in.

      Cardisa has been on here a lot longer than I have and knows more about HP but I would not worry about the hubscore drops of the people you follow. My score goes up to 100 sometimes, goes down again, but does it matter to my page views? Not at all.

   I would not unfollow a hubber but I do unfollow particular hubs, forums, or questions if I start to get bombarded and/or I'm no longer interested in the comments or have received the answers I needed.

   I agree with Janshares in that there are some questions/forums that just take off and my poor iPhone is buzzing like crazy with all the updates, so I have to pull myself off and unfollow. That being said, I do go back and read the answers, because I feel that whatever topic I follow is important to understanding my fellow Hubbers.--Deb

   A few times ( a VERY few times - like three times, maybe) I've unfollowed someone after I first followed them, thinking they would be writing about subjects in which I had interest - only to discover that they start writing on, for example, one subject that didn't interest me.  (People sometimes start new here, writing a couple of one kind of Hub; and then they'll decide to write in a single niche.)  I just figured there's no point in pretending I'm interested in a niche when I'm not.  It's no reflection on the unfollowed Hubber - just the change in Hub style/subject.
   
   I'm pretty slow to follow in the first place these days, because there are only so many Hubs a person knows he'll be reading over the course of a week; so now I know not to follow unless I get the idea that the person has written several Hubs that may interest me.  That eliminates the situation where someone new writes two or three Hubs and then switches to a niche that's completely different from those first Hubs (and then being faced with deciding whether to unfollow or not.
   
   I don't follow any questions/answers or Hub comments.  I go by memory and go check to see if I'm interested in whether anything else went on somewhere.  I don't want to be bombarded by notices every time someone comments on someone's else's Hub (that I commented on too).  Again, it's no reflection on the person's Hub or even on the comments others make.

    Oh my....I've never unfollowed a hubber....I feel anyone can have a bad day i.e. bad hub, and we're all entitled.  I had no idea it could affect my hubscore but I think people and friendship are more important than hub scores.

    immature behavior and passive aggressive behavior.  even though hubpages site has become advanced some of these hubbers behavior has turned this site into a freak show and some kind of "I have to prove I am better than you platform".  Creativity doesnt exist in the same fashion it did when i originally joined in 2009.  hubpages consist of cliques and their need to control content via subliminal messages and promote "certain" writers.  I am content in following as well as having a few followers.  I'm not into having as much followers as I once did because people will piggy back (follow) for reasons outside of really liking your work.
