   If it were possible to live forever, would you want to?
   
   If you could go to a doctor, and for ten thousand dollars you could take five years off your biological age, would you do it? Chronological age is how long you've been alive. Biological age is a representation of the damage the processes we know of as aging have done to your system.

   Yes, I do want to live forever, but not in a sinful world that is full of pain, corruption and evil. I would, however, love to live forever in Heaven with My Heavenly Father and His only begotten Son, Christ Yeshua (Jesus).
   
   "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life."
   "Believe and be baptized and you shall be saved."

      Thank you for your answer. It is indeed a beautiful one. You wish to serve God. I have some questions for you. Is it suicide to refuse a treatment that could save your life? Isn't suicide a sin? This is, of course, assuming God exists.

      I personally do not believe that abstaining from medicine, which may or may not work, is the same as suicide. If one has a condition that is terminal, and one has made peace with God, then I do not think they are required to accept risky treatments.

   Not really. Living forever would become boring and dull. Each of your loved ones and family dies... Sounds extremely depressing.

      Thank you for your insightful answer. I have a question for you. If you were incorrect in your assumption that your loved ones would not get the treatment, and you could learn and write new things, what would you choose?

      I still would not get the treatment. In living forever, there is an end to everything and you would have to face all of the bad with the good. By the time you live to be 500, you don't want to be alive with all of the horror's you've seen.

   I want to live as long as I can. Already set my sights on 120, as a conservative goal - by that time it might be so normal that  150 isn't out of the question. And how great would it be to see the changes in the world that are destined to happen over the next 100-200 years? Yes it could turn out bad in the world, but it could also turn out great.
   But boring?... not for me. Some people have already had enough of life after 50 years - lack of imagination and sense of wonder if you ask me...there's so much to see and do still. Even being part of making sure the world turns out good.
   But live "forever?"- I could only answer that after I've lived so long that it feels like "forever".
   I heard an old lady who had arranged for euthanasia describe it so: "Life has been like a wonderful party, and I've enjoyed it immensely. But like all good parties, there comes a time when, even though the party is still in full swing, you get tired and just want to go home".

   Not at all. I don't believe that Planet Earth is really home for any of us. For me, home is where we go when we die. We're here to learn life lessons, and then we go home when we die. It's a simple belief and it serves me really well as I have no fear of death at all.
   
   No western doctor could ever convince me they could take any number of years off my biological age. I take that responsibility myself by choosing and maintaining a health lifestyle. In fact, I believe that I stay healthy mainly because I mistrust western doctors and avoid them conscientiously. They are responsible for any number of iatrogenic illnesses. All they do is prescribe drugs which have serious side-effects and interact with one another to cause more problems.

      You said it. I think one of the most filthy and unhealthy places one can find one's self is at the local clinic or hospital. I too, avoid them...if at all possible. The second point you made that I really like is that Dr.'s are legal drug pushers.

   I'd like to live forever but only in god's blessed world. I wouldn't want to live for ever in a tortured state. I think it is unlikely that a Doctor could ever come up with science that makes human beings live for ever. I believe that this can only come from god our heavenly father above us

      According to Scripture, mankind's age limit is 120 years. It seems we can do nothing to exceed this limitation, but there is plenty we can do to minimize it. The Almighty has given us all a predetermined amount of time that cannot be extended.
