"To make life more important."
I heard that line in response to the question, "Why do we have to die?" from a show called "Six Feet Under" which use to run on HBO. It inspired me to write the following hub awhile back.
http://hubpages.com/hub/makethemostoutoflife
Whenever there is an infinite amout of anything we tend to "value it less". Sand is worth a lot less than gold. By acknowledging our time on this planet is limited it is more likely we do our best to make the most of it. (In theory that is) :-)
That was not our original design. We were originally created to live forever by God's design in the Garden of Eden, but becasue we rebelled against the Word of God (sin), we were cast from paradise and placed under the "curse" that corrupted our physical state of being as well.
With our immortality having been lost and the world (physical universe) having been likewise placed under this "curse"; then... time, decay, aging and death began to occur in the universe. The maximum human lifespan, as designated by the "Word of God" (Genesis 6:3), then diminished with each successive generation thereafter, from as much as almost 1000 years (Methuselah) at old age (Genesis 5:27) to the 120 years that Moses lived before he passed.
Thus is the "curse" that our physical mortal bodies are now subject to. But, our soul and spiritual bodies are still eternal and the Lord God has a plan however, for us to return our physical bodies to an immortal state once again. This will reunite soul-spirit-body together in an eternal state of being. That plan is in our salvation from sin (John 3:16-21). There is a Kingdom Coming to this World (Rev.20+21) when the Lord returns and all who believe in Him will be ressurrected into these perfect glorified bodies once again (Rev.14+20). Those who have not been "purified" will suffer not only physical death but also spiritual death. Those who have accepted God's forgiveness shall be spared both deaths and live forever with Him (Rev.22).
I pray that this helps to to reveal an insight to many that will spare them this future fate. DEATH IS NOT BY DESIGN, BUT OUR CHOICE as default of not accepting eternal life. WE ARE BORN TO LIVE.
We are not born to die - we are born to live.
The fact that we all will - eventually - die is due to the fact that the Universe is is constantly changing, evolving; with energy/matter being recycled to become new life forms. When we are dead and buried we do - quite literally - 'push up daisies'.
Everything changes. Everything is in constant motion.
Nothing is forever.
Get used to it.
We are born to die to know and understand the nature of this world as non eternal as temporary and transient. So ironic everyday we see all things and beings as temporary and dying and still we yearn for possessions .I guess we are born to die is gods way of explaining to us to know the true nature of this universe as an illusion ..
That's just how life works; we're not born to die, we're born to live. Dying is just a part of life.
Its the same principle as "What goes up must come down" and the law of entropy, that energy collected will eventually disperse.
This is because we are not of this world.
We came from some where and he need to return to our source.
We are spirits having a human experience. After that human experience we return to our spirit world unless we reincarnate.
Then you could ask why are we dieing to be born again?
They is ample scientific evidence of reincarnation now. Don't just believe me, look for it yourself and you will find it.
We are born to die because humanity is a mortal being. Live your best possible life while you are able. Only Almighty God knows what He is planning to do with our spirit and soul.
Dying is part of the life cycle to balance the population and part of God's plan for each and everyone of us.
Are we born to die? Or are we born to live for a limited time. I guess it depends on one's perspective.
I will never die, rather live forever, with God my Father, thanks to God's grace provided by His Son, Jesus Christ. Life is forever, the question is where we will spend it for eternity. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to seal the rift that separates man & God caused by sin. All we have to do is accept His free Gift of Forgiveness of or Sins, and we can enjoy fellowship with God with spirits reborn through His grace. Those who reject this free gift chose to stay separated and will enter into eternity separated from God. Therefore, chose today to accept God's free gift of forgiveness, and enter into eternity with your fellowship restored with God. John 3: 16
were not. it's not that we are born to die, we are born then we die. to make it sound like our birth is only there so we can die is rather strange and incorrect.
All of us die. it's not a issue of when we die but rather how we die. What rather matters is how we stay and use the time we do have.
I agree with The source.
We are spiritual beings having a physical expierence. The spirit is only allowed so long in one body and once the spirit has to leave the body that is only our physical death. Reincarnation will relocate the spirit and put it in a new body with a new identity and the the process will keep repeating itself until we return to the ultimate spiritual realm.
Perhaps we do not die, perhaps we simply change our residence leaving behind, all who think we died. Perhaps, we are even now, living eternity, here today and paradise tomorrow.
i wondered the same thing many times.. There must be a reason but then i do kinda of thing religion is a bit wrong and i dont think that is the way we should go about find answers to things like that.. People dieing and killing others because of what somebody said or did 2 or 3 thousand years ago and that is written in a book just dosent seem right and it realy isnt too much diffrent from thinking wizard and witches are real as it would be like rying to prove they are realy would be the same as trying to prove there is a god. There also seems to be too many diffrent religions for it too be real. Why would the god who loves us make us live so we can just die? I think humans are what we should worship and serve i think we should just try and make the world a better place and money that goes to a religion should go to help countries out. 20 billion us dollars could wipe out world poverty and if every religion in the world sold and gave up there wealth it would come to alot more then 20 billion i know this is off the point but it just reminded me about this i think we where born to help each other and once we have we die in the hope we have had our children to carry on in a chain that is meant to last till we have no where left to live(earth is destroyed or if we expand into diffrent plants etc..) our remain will be recycled as there is only so much material on earth that after we die we will decay and become something else for all you know your remains could be a tree in 100 million years?
This is a very good question. But it is very metaphorical. This ties back to the meaning of life. Every living thing must die, but the reason for being alive is a very tough question. It is actually one of the most pondered questions. All I can say is that all living things are born to reproduce, to advance a species, but why? There will never be a solid reason behind this.
We are born to live, love and learn. Yes, we all die some day, but I'd like to believe that we are just returning home.
We are in this World for a test, and after our test, we die to give account of our deeds on earth.
This is what I believe...
I believe we are all born to live
and then we all live to die
It's just a process we all go through. The next step in our lives is to die. It would be just unnatural to not die. I wonder if there is a step after death?
i drink more whiskey, smoke more cigars, and eat more bacon.
i avoid all things high fiber and diet, and have more sex.
i love more and hate less, party harder and never step back from a worthy fight.
we're not born to die,.... we are born to live,... death is the debt you pay the boss in the end,... if you make the most of the days you get,.. its a fair price.
In Holly book of "Quaran" Allah says that I made born and die, Then I observe and I saw amoung you who comes to me with good deed. And we will give him the best rewared for it.
Thats the only thing which no one know that why we born to die this is the only thing which you will come to know after you died and the answer you will be given by god that why you born and why you die.
We are born to live, learn, and love; to teach others and to make the world a better place.
We are born to die this is way of life ,we do not change it.
well every thing has to end some day.... so as human also..but the time & life in between this we got do something like that which makes us alive in other hearts...
Without death our species wouldn't be able to evolve, or wouldn't be able to evolve as quickly.
We are born to die one day.
But the death is the start of another life.
Death can be treated as a birth in other realms.
I believe when we die, we are going to actually be born into heaven.
we are born to contribute to society. And in the end, ...we die.............and start our new life .............. it's reality.......
We do not really die. We simply leave this body and soul. You have been living before, you are still living and you will always live. But names are given to your condition and state in life or death. Such names include death, hell, paradise, heaven, celestial kingdom, bliss, purgatory, etc.
Leaving this body is the best thing that can ever happen to somebody at death. You see, it is like the desire you have to change your clothes. The reason why you may not want to die now is that that clothe you call 'body' is still agile, healthy and active. At very old age, I am sure at one point you will desire to leave because at that time marturity would have told you you will change your clothe (body) and you'll not be afraid.
Everything in existence has a beginning and an end. Even the seemingly eternal universe will cease to exist someday. It is the nature of Nature. Nothing is immortal.
If you'd like, you can find solace in religion and believe in the afterlife. Though I am not that big on faith, I do subscribe to Pascal's Wager. You can never be too careful. Hedge your bets! Heaven sounds too damn nice to dismiss altogether. If it does exist, I wanna go there.
Science makes a case for immortality also. It is said that matter is never completely destroyed, it just changes forms. You might could apply that to us. It's a stretch though. Applied to us, conversion of matter pertains to the decay of tissue and body gases. Eventually we convert to a mass of goo which is absorbed by the earth or feeding organisms. This unpleasant prospect is why I have asked to be cremated. I'll convert to ash and smoke. My loved ones can do with me what they will after that. They can flush me down the toilet for all I care.
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly.

I saw this thing on Youtube the other day and it said that animals have souls that are to the flesh, as opposed to us--we have souls that are to the spirit. Therefore, when animals perish, their souls perish with them. What do you guys think? Do you think animals go to...

Why are there spirits roaming the earth? Does this means that there is no heaven or hell?
