I'm still trying to figure out this idled hub thing. I use to think that hubs went idle with low to no views. But just yesterday one of my best hubs that still gets lots of views and comments became idle. So at this point I'm really not sure what's going on anymore here at the hub pages.
I really hate this idle thing. A lot of my work is poetry and I don't want to tweak it to get it out of "idle" mode. I do understand Hubpages has to think about revenue I am not here for the money anyway. A mystery!
I'm just here for fun as well like a lot of other people. How about adding a paragraph of introduction to your poems, where you can add words down the road to get your hubs out of the idle status. Just a thought.
This is a good question, duffsmom. I recently had a poem hubscore drop drastically and didn't know why. Maybe low or no views? This is the same hub that was idled a few weeks ago but revived by editing in a day. I remember hearing something about a time period of 6 months of low/no activity as criteria for idling a hub. I don't know, it's not clear. All we can do is speculate. In the meantime, tweak, edit, switch out images, add a video, etc., etc., etc. By the way, I did revive that hub for a second time and it's fine for now.

We all know that we must keep our Articles fresh and up to date, right? Well, I'm sitting here staring at one of mine with the subject, "Idle Hubs". My problem is that for a while it managed to gather several thousand Views. But now, the whole Idle Hub scenario has been eliminated. SO, my...

One of my best performing hubs is marked as idle. It has had 31 views just this week - better than many of my other hubs that are not idle. I believe this is a mistake. Here is the hub: <link snipped>

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...

I know staff is looking at idling hubs for lack of engagement if they have less than ten views in thirty days. I have several that are on the first page Google. Is there any way that the engagement issue could be put on hold until traffic improves?. I am working on these as are others. If they go...

So far, thanks to the Idle hubs "feature", I have had my second month in a row where I haven't earned $50 through the HP Ad program... and these are the only 2 times, out of the history of me using HP Ads, that I haven't reached the $50 mark.Weren't the idle hubs supposed to help...
