   A new Pokemon game is coming out in October for the 3DS. Will you get it?
   
   It's going to be called Pokemon X and Y, and there is a trailer already out containing some footage of the game!

   As much as I enjoy Pokemon games, I don't think I'll be getting this for quite a while, if at all. It hasn't been very long since Black and White came out, and I also don't own or even much want a 3DS. Also don't anticipate having a ton of spending money in October... may depend more on that than anything.
   
   Is cool that they've finally moved to full 3D, though. Maybe Nintendo will be merciful and have it come out on Wii U, as well...?

      The nature of how the mainstay series works doesn't really lend itself to console releases (since half of the fun is trading; although we have the Internet for that too now). I'll probably get it at launch, if only for the preorder bonus Pokemon.

      Yeah, I don't know how much having Pokemon games on handhelds is obligatory anymore, since I imagine most trading is done online these days. But, I know, Nintendo will continue down the path of most profit...

      That is a valid point. Perhaps the fans could get together and petition Nintendo. It's not like they've never made a console Pokemon game (Stadium games; Gale of Darkness was a full RPG in the spirit of the handheld versions).

   I will probably eventually get it, since I enjoy playing the Pokemon games. But it will not be anytime soon due to some other games I am looking forward to this year such as Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm.
